The Great Gatsby It takes two to make an accident it’s not only one at fought. The entitlement and power that accompanies money throughout the novel gives off how old money they behave in a snob way and think less of those that are new money. Old money believes that there will not be any consequences for their action no matter what they do. Old money and new money stand on different grounds because old money they don’t like to show off their money, as for new money they like to show off their money. The entitlement and power that accompanies money takes two to make an accident it’s not only one at fought.

The Great Gatsby takes place on two side of the island and they are East and West Egg. East egg is more fashionable and shows less of their money, however only use money to get themselves out of problems. On the east side would live Tom Buchanans,Daisy and Jorden Backer they are careless people and think less of those who live on west egg. For example would be when Jorden and nick were in a car and Jorden almost ran into a person walking on the side of the road, Jorden didn’t even care if she almost hit that person she only said “They’ll keep out of my way” she insisted, “it takes two to make an accident. “Jorden was born with money so when she almost hit the person walking on the side of the road she thinks less of them and that they should be more worry about her. Throughout the whole novel Jorden only thought about herself, never care about what others think nor car about what nick think and what was going on in his mind when he saw how Myrtle dies.
