have you ever been to a garage sale? did you find something you loved or couldn't live with out? or were you just out for a fun day of "treasure" hunting? For what ever reason garage sales are a most interesting way to spend time searching for treasures on a Saturday morning. "others junk is another persons treasure." is the quote my mother told me when i was little. every weekend during the summer she would wake me up bright and early and we would head off on our treasure hunt. I find that quote true every time i am at a garage sale.

during the week i search out garage sales of all sorts we have the estate sale where people are selling their home and need a quick way to get rid of their home appliances. I find these sales have the best furniture and housewares appliances. Then we have the fund raising sale, for example, churches will host garage sales to raise money for youth group. these sales have a lot of clothing and older items due to the congregation just collects stuff and throws it all together. you will also have the multiple family sale, here you will find clothing, toys, housewares, furniture, and so on. basically everything you can think of. last but not least you have the basic garage sale. this sale also has many other names like yard sale, tag sale, and junk sale. most items here will very from family to

Home Depot, Inc. first opened its doors in June of 1979 in Atlanta, Georgia under the owners of Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank. They had the vision of a one-stop shop for every need a do-it-yourself customer might have. The first few stores were around 60,000 square feet and they used empty boxes to give the illusion of more products on their shelves. Home Depot quickly became a popular home improvement warehouse throughout the country and revolutionized the do-it-yourself industry. Home Depot’s goal is to help consumers find the products perfect for their renovations or home projects by providing excellent customer service. Since the beginning their associates have provided superior customer service to their customers by offering free classes where customers can learn how to do it themselves. The store associates also underwent rigorous training in order to be knowledgeable about the products Home Depot stocks. Home Depot has a “whatever it takes” philosophy when it comes to customer service, meaning they want their associates to form a more personal relationship with their customers instead of just treating them like walking money signs. They also offer expert support services for contractors and tradespeople to guarantee that they have the right tools to complete the job in an effective and timely manner.…

It is common for people to throw away belongings that were once important to them. This is because our society has a tendency to be wasteful. In the essays “The Town Dump” by Wallace Stegner, “On Dumpster Diving” by Lars Eighner, and “The Town Dump” by Howard Nemerov, the authors all display their opinions when it comes to the topic of value, and items that have been thrown away. Through the use of imagery, the three authors depict their attitudes towards the idea that one man’s trash may or may not be another man’s treasure. Therefore showing that every object can have a value to a person that others see as invaluable.…
