In the history there were famous and influential people, who changed the world in different aspects. Although there were many great people, if I had the chance to meet a historical person, he would be Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. There are several reasons for my opinion.
First and foremost, I would like to learn about his self- control. Gandhi proved his patience while fighting for the freedom of his country- India, which was ruled by Britain. He worked for more than thirty years for his commitment to achieve the non- violence that led him in jail several times. His patience paid off, which resulted in free India.
Second reason why I would like to meet Gandhi, is because he taught people to be calm, generous and lovable. Mohandas Gandhi taught people to follow the path of good, also a famous quote of him says: “Don't say bad, don't look at the bad things, and don't hear bad things”. He taught people human values, which resulted in peace and love in India. As well as that, I would be grateful to ask him a question about how he succeeded in keeping himself positive and patient.
In conclusion, If I had the option to meet a person from the past, he would definitely be Gandhi. The reasons for my opinion are his patience, determined spirit and his generosity. He changed the course of history. A well- known quote of Gandhi, in my opinion, highlights his character: “A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history”
