Why Football
It’s the most fun, most competitive, team-oriented sport in the earth. We do anything to win a game. Ladies love us guys want to be us. Everybody loves the game, people are always playing it, and it is the soul of the universe. When you put on the pads, lace up the spikes, and buckle your helmet you walk onto the field with a swagger and nothing else matters. You will forget if you failed a test, fought with a friend, or lost some money. Football is the sport I love the most because of three things. The bond on a football team is like no other sport. Another reason is the hardwood and dedication you put in. Lastly why I play football is to win it all The way a football team bonds with each other over the summer and overnight camps is unbelievable. We don’t all hang out with each other on the weekends, but on Saturdays we are a family. If your team wants to be successful you have to trust that the 10 other players on the field will do their job each and every play. Unlike in most sports you need more than one great player on a team, in fact I’d rather have a team with a bunch of good players. Than have a team with just one or two amazing players.
Why do we run back and forth day after day? Hitting and running so hard we ache everywhere. Pushing it so hard we listen to our hearts beat rings in our head, while our lungs desperately gasp for air. Early mornings, late nights, Saturdays and Sundays, an endless amount of pain, deep bruises, broken bones, and torn muscles and ligaments. We hustle thru it all, because we live off our adrenaline, because the game frees your soul, because the party after the big win is spectacular, because you are invincible once you step onto the field. A big play could make you smile all day long and the next day as you joke about it with friends. The rattling of the crowd, the feel of the ball, the image of the spikes in the dirt, it’s a glory to live by. Because it

Sports are an intimate part of many people’s lives. Without it, many of us would not share certain relationships or bonds with people who like it as much as we do. Football is indeed my favorite sport to watch. From the touchdown dances to seeing a favorite player break a record, football is intense, exciting, and amusing to watch. Football teams can define the character of certain regions and places (Sports and Recreation, 2004). In good old Minnesota, we “bleed purple” and love our Minnesota Vikings. Although the Vikings have never won the Super Bowl, we still love them regardless because of their hard work and dedication to the sport and to the fans. The whole organization behaves in a manner that keeps the fans coming back for more, as do other National Football League teams around the United States. The National Football League and its teams need to have spot-on organizational skills. If there is not proper organizational…

Each year millions of Americans watch and play both football and baseball. Whether it be the excitement of a walkoff homer in the bottom of the ninth inning, or a Hail Mary pass in the fourth quarter, we continue to enjoy them year after year. While Texans may argue that football is the superior sport, and Californians the opposite, can these sports really be compared? Nearly everything about them is different, right down to the shape of the ball. But both sports unite us, whether it be on the field, in the stands, or at home on the couch. They teach the value of teamwork and communication being used to achieve a common goal. Despite both football and baseball being based on teamwork, the type of teamwork used in football can help more in…

The gut-wrenching screech of the whistle shook my ear drums, numbed my chest, and crippled my legs. Prior to this, Pine Richland had kicked a field goal that gave them a three point lead with only seconds left. We had one play to win: a kickoff return to hopefully save not only our season, but to justify the twelve years I had devoted to this game. As the ball was hopping down the field, I stood there trying to stop my hands from frantically shaking. After what felt like an hour, I could finally feel the pigskin leather on my fingertips. I looked up to see the other team stampeding down the field straight for my head. I had to get rid of the ball. To my right, my sweat-soaked teammates had steam rising from the top of their heads and surrounding their bodies. As I threw the ball, the blurred roar of the crowd chilled my bones. I began to run and target an enemy to hit. Inches from me, a white jersey trailed only feet behind my ball-toting teammate; I was a heat-seeking missile and my target was getting warmer. Our bones crunched as our bodies collided. His mouthpiece, accompanied by saliva and mucus, flew from his mouth as his head jerked back from the blow. It was as that white jersey whimpered in pain…

Relationship plays a lot within the sports community. If athletes and coaches don't have a strong relationship bonding they can't work well; conflicts will always occur every time they are around each other. And that's what played throughout a lot in the movie between Snyder and Jesse. If Snyder and Jesse's didn't have that Jesse wouldn't be the Jesse today and also Snyder. Another key point of the sporting community is having respect. Respect have a lot to do with coaches and athletes as well. No respect, no relationship. They were moments were both Snyder and Jesse respect went downhill, but because of that strong relationship they have amongst each other, they had moments to talk it over and work it out. Trust and respect have a lot to…

Although there are many different sports, football is the best sport I have ever played. First, football is a very fun sport to play for fun or in a real game. In football, if you are mad about all your school work or just something stressful you can let it out on people by hitting them. Playing with your friends without pads or anything is also fun too, you get to have a fun competition with your friends to see who has the better team. In a real game it is very fun to get the ball and get a good run with the ball and score a touchdown, but winning the game is even better. Second, watching the sport of football can be a good game or sometimes can make you mad. Watching football is very fun especially when your team is winning, but can also…

Football is one of the hardest sports out there for its physical brutality, its mental toughness, and you beat all of that with heart, desirer and hard work. Having heart and desirer could mean many things but to me it means to give every thing you have into something that you love to do and would do anything for it. To fight through any pain or problem that you face without giving up. Football has taught me hard work in the gym, in the classroom and on the field. It taught me how to never give up on something that I wanted and even through it might look impossible it never was. If you had heart, desirer and hard work to give then you will always…

My favorite sport is foot ball. Foot ball is considered a contact sport. It allows you to meet other boys my age. But most of all it helps me to build physically and mentally. There is nothing like getting in to the uniform and out on the field. I like to look at the crowd and hope they are going to cheer for my team. Before we get on the field, we have to do a few exercises which keeps us limber and in shape. We do push up and run, there are other exercises we have to do in our practice sessions. Which is at least 4 times week? I believe in football you get more exercises than any other sport. I like the fact that we can play under the lights at night. This seems to be the best time to draw a crowd to cheer you on and parents aren't so apt to be working so they can come and enjoy the game. Nothing makes me prouder than to have my dad tell me what a good job i did. My dad loves football as much as I do and it seems to bring us together more. We watch a lot of football on television. Yes, you can get hurt in football, which is why some kids don't want to play. But, some hospital records show that you get hurt just as much or even more playing soccer. You can get hurt playing baseball and some of the other sports also. To be honest, I would not suggest playing a sport of any kind if you are afraid of getting hurt. Not only do you get the satisfaction of playing the sport, you can also get the attention of the cheerleaders. Who wouldn't want that? I have played football since I was A young boy and I hope to play in college. Who knows I may get scouted for the major leagues. Yes football is my favorite sport whether I am playing or watching it on…

I always enjoyed football movies most because I could relate to most of the things and could compare things in the movie to my actual life. They have always drawn my attention and I usually was misled by the way they made the sport in general seem. I wanted to play football at a young age but was always mistaken on the way the game actually was. It was made out to be way harder and worse than actuality. Football, it is not just a sport or some game. It is my whole life. Every year I have one goal and that is to make it to football season. Playing in each of those games gives a special feeling that no one can get enough of. Winter, Spring, and Summer do not even compare to what Fall is like, not only is it one of the most beautiful times of the year but the most intense, most exciting sport seasons to anyone with a pulse. I prepare for it all year long, doing different sorts of exercises such as running, lifting, jumping rope, and anything that I could think of to help me be the best athlete I could possibly be. No matter how hard someone could prepare for football there is only one thing that will truly make someone the best they could ever be and that my friend is heart. If they do not have heart they will not make it anywhere, not only in football but in life. With heart and dedication there is nothing that cannot be accomplished. Some days I just dream about playing football on the next level. The thrill of just suiting up in that jersey means the world to me. Playing underneath those blinding lights, that lights up the whole field like the sun. There are so many different ways to win games but there are a basic few that will definitely do the trick. Some offense will really put points up on the board to show how good the team is. A whole lot of defense will win the game; it will stop the other team from putting the points up. One of my favorite quotes "Offense sells tickets; Defense wins championships"--Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant Jr. There is always Special Teams too without it there would be no kickoffs, no field goals, and without it the game would not be complete.…

I am going to explain the first reason. I think it is fun because you get to take out all your anger from that day and release all of it in the football game. You can be as physical as you want within the rules and you get cheered for it. It isn't a game for the weak of heart......you have to love to hit people and be able to take the hits also. There are toughness lessons that you learn that stay with you forever and you learn to truly respect your opponent - not fear him.…
