My Future Plans Graduation is quickly approaching, and I believe I am prepared. I have a lot of great things planned, and it is now time to accomplish my goals. I want to pursue a degree in biology, attend Coastal Carolina University, and become a physician’s assistant.
After graduation, I want to be very successful. I am going to attend Coastal Carolina University to further my education and major in biology. The University of South Carolina in Columbia is where I really want to attend, but I did not get accepted. Since that plan failed, I became more interested in Coastal. Coastal has a very pleasurable campus which is outlined with astonishing landscape. It has classrooms that are well equipped to enhance learning capabilities. Coastal also satisfies my personality which is outgoing, yet ambitious.
While attending Coastal, I will major in biology. Biology major is what I need to pursue my career plan. In high school I always loved taking biology and anatomy courses, so I figured I should continue my education and career with something I am passionate about. This major can be used for various occupations within the healthcare field, which is why I decided to study within the biology field. However, I am going to pursue a medical/healthcare career, and I cannot wait to begin my life.
After graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree, I must study further to become a physician’s assistant. I plan on furthering my studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia to obtain my master’s degree. I choose to become a physician’s assistant because the job duties are fairly easy and offers more pay than nurses. My plans are to become a physician’s assistant within the orthopedic field. I want to work with individuals who suffer from any joint or leg problems, such as torn ACL’s on broken bones that occurred during sporting events. That is exactly what a physician’s assistant does, I believe I will be

First, I chose physician’s assistant because it has always been an oddly obscure career from my perspective. I wanted to learn more about what they do since I do not know much about them. I know they do some diagnosis and treatment, but I do not know how their role differentiates from a nurse or family practice doctor. I also knew they are well paid which is usually around six figures. Although I had previously not considered this career, I chose this based on its listing as one of the highest paying and fastest growing jobs in the US.…

There are numerous courses that have to be taken in order to major in Biology; while also minoring in Chemistry as well. There are introductory classes that need to be taken like: “Introductory Biology: Comparative Physiology” or “Introductory Biology: Cell and Development Biology.” Also “General Chemistry” for two semesters with “Organic Chemistry.” One semester of calculus is needed with a second semester of calculus or an equivalent of statistics. Physics is also necessary in order to complete the major of Biology; two semesters of “General Physics I and II.” And finally there needs to be Biochemistry courses taken, such as “Principles of Biochemistry, Individualized Instructions.” Majoring in Biology would grant me various skills in knowing how the world we live in is made up of and how we live as human beings on this Earth. I believe Biology is the most knowledgeable area of study because it teaches how certain things work and what they are made up of. There are numerous career opportunities in Biology, including field work and research as well. Neuroscience is an example of a career which has to do with additional emphasis on Physiology.…

I was a junior in high school during basketball season with no plans for college. It was the fourth game of the season with eight seconds to go in the fourth quarter, when I cut down the middle to go up for a shot and ended up on the ground from a player striking the side of my knee. After three trainers and two doctors looked at my knee I got news back that it was an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear, meaning surgery and that I was done with sports until my senior year. After surgery, I had a weekend of rest then started physical therapy. I attended physical therapy three times a week for two hours as well as doing at home exercises. I enjoyed seeing all that a therapist does and how they help people get back to where they were before. I was incredibly grateful for all they did for me getting me ready in time for summer volleyball for my senior year. I started to research all about a Physical Therapist and came across Physical Therapy Assistant, which I found more interesting mainly because it was less schooling. I had decided this is what I wanted to do and go to college for. Once senior year started, I did an internship with the facility I had gone to for therapy. I loved the environment and how the workers all communicated and got along. Getting to help people every day get their range of motion back and watching all the progress they make over the weeks was inspiring and that is what I wanted to see every day in my…
