Future filed trip
Future Field Trip As a cadet teacher, I have the chance to work with some amazing students. I get to see what life is like for a teacher. I am a cadet teacher for a physical education class .My mentor and I have the opportunity to plan a field trip for the classroom I am working in. There are a few steps I have to go through to plan this trip.
First, a destination has to be chosen. I have chosen to take the students to the public YMCA. The YMCA is a pretty big place so the students would be in the equipment area of the building. The objective of taking the students to the YMCA is to demonstrate how to properly use particular exercising equipment. By going on this field trip my main objective is to open up the students eyes to the different ways to get in shape and be happy. The third objective of taking the students to the YMCA is having the opportunity to experiment with different equipment that the school does not offer. The second step I would have to take for this field trip is booking a date to do it on. I wouldn’t want to plan this trip during the fall nor winter. I would want to plan this trip during late winter, and the trip would occur during the beginning of spring. I chose to book this field trip in the spring because it will be sunny and warm then. The exact day of the trip is undecided as of right now. But I have kept in mind that a Friday would the perfect day. As for the time of the trip, we would leave the school around 9:30 A.M and return around 11:45 A.M. The third step for planning this field trip is getting transportation to the destination. I’ve came to the conclusion that the students can either ride the bus that will be provided by the school, with their consent. Or the students could carpool with my mentor and other students in the class that have automobiles. The fourth step is permission slips. I would give the students’ parents a lot of time to RSVP with me for the trip. The permission slips would be sent out 2 weeks before the end

Overall, the larger did well on planning for the YMCA event. I felt everyone was participating and planning with the team. During class when we sit together as the group for YMCA, I saw the group getting into discussion about ideas for the event. I saw groups going up to TAs and the professor talking to them for advices and getting their questions answered about the event. It shows that the team is willing to be prepared and know what they expect during the event. At the event, the team was well prepared, they brought the materials that they need and everything went smoothly like they planned. Every stations were ready, the art and craft stations where they made flowers and pledges brought extra materials so there will be plenty enough for…

    a. The first thing to do is read the risk assessment folders for the student/students involved in the activity. It is necessary to ensure the activity is safe and appropriate for all the students and staff involved. For example if one of the students was not safe to be near water it would not be safe to include that student on a trip that involved being on or in water of any description, like a trip to the beach.…

I hope that in the future, cadets get many more opportunities like this. At the very least, it far exposes us to the jointly-operating military we will be entering, while providing us face time with the war fighters we will be in charge of one day. But furthermore, hands-on opportunities can make leadership more tangible, not to mention more…

JROTC brings out the best in me and my fellow cadets because of the high level of maturity expected of them from the instructors and the huge student participation in running the program. The program also prepares us for life after high school, helping us to learn our personality types and how to interact with other types. We also learned to respect ourselves and others when wearing uniform and when we are not. We learn to step outside our comfort zone and become acquainted with the world around us; the…

My personal reaction when visiting the downtown YMCA facility was that everything seemed well organized. From the moment you walk through the door you had immediate help from staff members trying to assist you in whatever you needed. The staff members were able to answer any questions I had prepared for them and even gave me a tour of the whole facility. During the tour I was impressed with how detailed and well the staff member was with explaining what programs were available within the facility. He presented a whole lay out on how I would go about joining the different programs they had available, fee information, and the certain age groups I could expect to see within certain programs.…

My time being camp counselor was definitely one of the best experiences I've had so far. My experience as a camp counselor I acquired leadership skills, organized activities, identified and responded to behavioral problems, and communicated concerns with parents. I believe my experience as a camp counselor has already provided me a good foundation for being a teacher. I intend to be apart of Teach for America to explore my strengths, weaknesses, and acquire teaching techniques to address the different needs of individual learners. I believe the teacher’s role will help me to develop myself, both academically and personally. Being an educator you make an influential impact on a child’s life that will shape their youth, and stay with them through adulthood. I have every confidence that I have the necessary qualities to become a school teacher and be apart of the Teach For America…

My co-op placement as a first grade teacher at Moraine Hills Public School had the greatest impact on me. Growing up, I have always wanted a career where I can help others in a positive light. However, being more reserved and shy made the decision of becoming a teacher more difficult. By volunteering at summer camps, festivals and extra-curriculars, my communication and social skills improved, but the placement was the focal point of my high school career. It helped me break out of my shell and gave me an insight of the teaching experience. The greatest learning outcome for me is to be flexible, open and creative. I learned that teaching is not just about the structure given, but how one can make the structure interesting and engaging for the…

On April 11th, I went to Lafayette Recreation Center to teach 4th and 5th graders about the Lemonade Day. However, the beginning of our trip was not that satisfying. For some reasons, our bus was not prepared that our team had to wait almost an hour in the sun to figure out what we can do. Some students from our team decided to take a cab to arrive on time to keep our promise with children and the others had to go by deans’ cars. Because we were in a car, a small place, we not only discussed about the Lemonade Day but also was able to get to know each other deeply. Luckily, our team was able to Lafayette Recreation Center on time safely. As planned, our team was divided into four different small groups to teach children effectively. Four small groups rotated to teach different children with different materials. After teach children successfully, we were able to get back to school on a bus. In the bus, we discussed about what we liked or disliked about teaching children and how it differed from what we imagined.…

There are many reasons I would like to go on the field trip to Hawaii. The first reason is I love to travel and see new things. This trip would be a dream vacation come true for anyone! The first six days look amazing with seven things on the list that I have never done before. Then the camping for six days sounds wonderful with farming, horseback riding, and snorkeling, I have only gone horseback riding once and it was fun, plus my family is involved with horses so I know a lot about them!…
