Full House Substance Abuse

The middle child of Full House known by many as Stephanie Tanner has dealt with addiction for many years of her life Jodie’s childhood life was rough. She was born on January 19, 1982, in Los Angeles, California. At that time both of her parents were in jail. She was put up for adoption. She was adopted by her Uncle Sam and his second wife Janice. Her acting talent was noticed at a very early age by family and friends. Her mother saw her passion for acting and decided to bring her to have a meeting with a talent agent at the age of 4. Jodie then got asked to be in the sitcom Valerie. Her amazing acting skills and perfect looks got the attention of Thomas Miller and Robert Boyett the producers putting together the sitcom known as Full House. The
Jodie’s addictions with drug and alcohol use started when she was 13 years old. She had just started high school. The same year Full House got canceled. She was always a very smart girl. She skipped kindergarten and was already reading at a 5-6th grade reading level. She had her first drink when she was 14 years old at one of the cast members Weddings. She attended Candace Cameron’s wedding with her first real boyfriend, Ryan. They sat down and the waiter came around with red wine and poured both of them a glass.The first drink gave her self-confidence which she had been searching for, for a long time. Before the waiter finished pouring the other table wine Jodie was already done with her first glass. Once the waiter came back around he poured her another glass which she quickly drank. Just after those drinks she had that one night started her path to addiction. When she was a junior in highschool she started to hang out with one of the popular girls. One morning on the way to school her friend was smoking pot and asked Jodie if she wanted to try it. Jodie said yes and spent the morning smoking pot with her friend.
