From Aldersgate To Azusa Analysis
The main thing that I’ve learned from reading the article From Aldersgate to Azusa would be about how “Christian perfection is not an absolute perfection but an absolute love, loving God with all one’s heart and mind and soul and strength, and loving one’s neighbor as oneself. The desire for holiness should mark the Christian life, spurred on by the belief that Christian perfection is attainable in this life.” That stuck out to me. The reason that this stood out to me is because oftentimes we feel down on ourselves for not being “perfect” what we must remember is that nobody on Earth can be perfect and if we are loving God with our whole entire being then we are in fact perfect in his eyes, and only then will we attain true Christian perfection.
