Frisbee Narrative
The sun was beating down, making the sand burn my feet. As I walk up and down the coastline, me feet bury in the burning hot sand. The waves crash into the nearby rocks. Pelicans are flying over my head. Looking into the distance, I can see a sailboat, far into the ocean. My family walks behind me holding a picnic basket and a blanket. We had planned this picnic for weeks now. As we pick our spot to set up the picnic, me and my dad begin to play catch with the frisbee. The wind blew into my face when I ran up and down the beach to catch the frisbee. My dad threw the frisbee right into the water. When I dropped my foot into ice cold water, I didn’t know if I was going to be able to get the frisbee. The water was way too cold for me to go in. …show more content…
When I came out of the water my body was freezing. It felt like I had just jumped into the frozen ice cold Arctic Ocean water. After I got the frisbee we went to the blanket and ate. I had a delicious turkey sandwich with cheese and mustard. We had a nice, calm family meal. We talked about our days and what we enjoyed most. My sister had went on a date with her boyfriend earlier in the day. They had gone to Walker Brothers for brunch. She explained how when the waiter brought them water to the table, the waiter dropped the glass on her boyfriend Brian. She said “his pants were so wet it looked like he just jumped into a pool.” When I saw the picture I fell over because I was laughing so hard. After dinner we watched the sun set on the

It was nearly sunset and I was relaxing along the soothing beach in Capitola, California. My brother and sister were assembling sand and shells to make a colossal sand city while my parents were in two chairs chatting. As I was ambling down the oceanfront my feet would feel the chilly waves and I could sense the gentle wind blowing my way. I was reminiscing about the exciting activities previously that day, including swimming through the waves, body surfing, and passing around a volleyball with my brother.…

As she walking to class, something caught her attention, the shore outside. She went outside, they were allowed to go outside without permission. She walked outside and she could feel the breeze going towards her and she could feel the warmness of the sun reflecting on top of her head. She saw how the waves were moving in a steady motion and it splashing on top of the soft sand. She could hear the palm trees moving gently.…

I look out the window and notice the fog covering the view of my cousin’s backyard. It was the day after a huge tornado of rain and wind had gone through my cousin’s house. The weather outside was chilly from the rain yesterday but still warm enough to be summer. I stood up from the bed, my legs screaming for help…

One morning, we decided to go out with some of the guests from the hostel for a hike along the hills by the seashore. These hills were covered in thick blades of grass but had rock faces that were pointed out towards the water. If you looked to your left you’d see these hills go for miles; mound after mound, circular shaped huts with cone shaped roofs sitting on top. African trees as well, looking as if the wind was blowing all the branches to one side of the trunk but they stood absolutely still; frozen in time. To your right you’d see the ocean go out for as far as you can see, while standing on a cliff with an almost vertical drop. From looking at the cliffs from the sides, it showed the many trails descending down the cliffs made by mountain goats and every once and a while you could see one half way down; climbing up. Although our surroundings were incredible, the heat was as well. We went through several bottles of water through-out the hike. Our leader, an African local, lead us down one of the more climbable hills to the ocean floor where it was covered in rock. With the sun beating down on us we felt trapped because we couldn’t swim in the water, the waves were too strong we’d be thrown up against the rocks.…

We were all sucked dry from the sun that day with zero energy left, we scavenged what we could and we still ate better than we could have at any local dinner. The day was still long and was only going to get hotter and longer even as the day came to a close. There was more things to do around the land than there was at any theme park. So as we all sat around and waited for something to do you could tell that everyone was thinking the same thing as sweat poured down all of our faces. The cold spring fed creek was the only thing that was going through my mind and I knew that was the only thing going through anyone else’s. We walked down to the creek as there was no other way that you could reach it, and as we got closer and closer you could hear the light eco of the fifteen foot waterfall coming off of the trees. The only thing I was looking for was the spit of the water flowing up through the large oak and misquote tree branches. You knew when everyone saw the water, you could see the sight of the crystal clear water shining off of everyones eyes and you could tell that there was a sudden sign of relief that came upon everyone after the long walk through the large misquote trees avoiding as many thorns and cactuses as they possibly could, being careful as could be you weren't going to miss all of them. And there was no better feeling than soaking your wounds in that…

I knew I wouldn’t make it to the top of the murky, warm and brown waters. I could feel the oxygen being released quickly from my lungs and bubbles swiftly skimming my skin as I slowly reached the bottom of the lake. I heard the faint cries for help and loud splashing as my sight becomes blurred. I felt someone’s hands grab mine and pull me onto the grainy dusty dirt. My vision comes back and I feel everyone’s eyes on me. They all immediately start laughing at me as I stood up and brushed the dirt off of me, feeling something tightly clutch my body.…

I got out of my car as I smelt the salty water, as the cool breeze hit me with the bright sun behind me. I was with my whole family this year and my mom’s friends had came as well. As my mum and I walk out of the salty water onto the soft sand I feel the sun beaming down onto my shoulder making it sizzle like a burn. I quickly walk to my day bed and pull out my towel from my bag. Once I finish drying the water off my body I lay out my towel on my day bed, and begin to put on my sunglasses. As I look up from my sunglasses, I see my mums face in shock staring at the horizon. I rapidly swing my head to see what she was so stunned by. My mouth drops in fear.…

As I sprint across the hot sand that burns the soles of my feet, the smell of salt water and sunscreen hits my face. I can see teenagers nearby as they dive to save a falling volleyball, covering themselves in grains of sand. While I’m preoccupied, watching the intense game of volleyball, the cold waves of the Atlantic Ocean come crashing down on my legs. I can hear my best friend, Tara, dying of laughter as my body tries to adjust to the temperature of the sparking turquoise waters. Surrounding us is vibrantly colored tropical plants and trees.…

The image of myself in the crevice of the sand underwater and the top layer of the ocean replays in my mind often. I can recall the moment’s features exactly. A few days later, my sister Andie told me how terrified she was seeing my head roll under the water in the distance. It is apparent to me that this is what big sisters are for, her timing really came in at the right moment to watch over me that day. I remember hearing Andie screaming as I fell in and out of consciousness “Mom take her! Mom! Take her!”. Andie had ripped me out of the water as the waves crashed over, throwing us into sharp coral on the shore. Every bash into the coral was a cut against our skin. We wrestled with the land. This end portion to me is all a blur. My sister handed me off to my mom and my haze of a nightmare experience was over.…

Summer days seem everlasting when I am outside. A little ways from my small town there stood infinite rolling hills that I love to roll down. There are magnificent forest paths that I run through, and a very pleasant meadow for reading. Today I predetermined that I was going to have an adventure with Scout, my German Shepard. We could run until we were exhausted. Most importantly, there were no people, and the weather was simply bliss. The sun was shining, and a nice breeze blew through the paths. My long brown braid shifted slightly with the wind. Out of the blue Scout took off, and I tried to chase her. I yelled out her name again, and again. She wouldn’t come back no matter how loud I hollered. All of the sudden the wind picked up at frightening speeds. The sky turned Black, and thunder erupted from the heavenly sky. Lightning smite the trees, and everything I loved about the countryside was destroyed. It all turned black, and I was shoved into a pit. Down, down, down I went never reaching the bottom. Back at the top of the hole I could see…

Later that morning, in the sunlit dining hall, breakfast was being severed. My group sat at the table we sat at the night before. As I started to eat my tater-tots , the events from yesterday filled my mind. My group went snorkeling, both day and night, I could still feel the cold water soak my wetsuit. I remembered that Mr. Lacey, our principal, announced that the school would be leaving today because of a storm. I was disappointed because I payed for three days instead of two,but at least I was having fun.…
