Friar Lawrence Is To Blame For Romeo And Juliet Essay
In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet were willing to sacrifice anything for their love, other people's lives and even their own. Romeo and Juliet think that they are star crossed lovers and without each other it would be unbearable. They keep their love for eachother a secret because of this many people end up getting hurt and some even die. In Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence, Romeo, and the Family Feud are to blame for the many deaths. In the play Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence is to blame because when Romeo gets exiled Friar helps Romeo see Juliet even when he is forbidden to go back to Verona. “ Go get thee to thy love as we decreed, ascend her chamber, hence and comfort her: But, look, thou …show more content…
Hiding their love for eachother wouldn’t be bad if it wasn’t going against their families, but in this case they are hiding it in fear they will be punished. Their love for eachother has caused many people to end up dead and it all stems off of the feud because if it wasn't there these people wouldn't care if Romeo and Juliet were associated together. “ O, I am slain! If thou be merciful, open the tomb, lay me with Juliet”(5.3.74-75). This quote is just saying that when Paris died after his and Romeo's fight that he wants to lay his body by Juliet's in the tomb. This quote goes along with this because if the feud wasn’t there and Romeo just went to pay a visit to her tomb no one would have thought he was trying to do anything to her. That's why the feud has so much to do with the story cause if it wasn't there then the whole dynamic would be changed. In conclusion, Friar Lawrence, Romeo, and the Feud are all the biggest impacts on the deaths in the play Romeo and Juliet. It all leads back to the feud and Romeo talking with Juliet because if those two things didn’t happen then none it would have occurred. So overall these are the reasons why everything happened.
