I think the case would eventually wind up as Justice Alito, known as conservative, voting against McBurney. As far as the voting, 6-3 or 7-2 would, in my speculation, be the most likely result with majority ruling against the state government and its FOIA, prompting optimization of the law.…

Staples Brent in “Black Men and Public Space” described the difficulties that a young black male may encounter during his ordinary life. It is explained that, even if you are a well-educated citizen, but you are a black man—more than six feet height with a not shaved face—you could face unfair prejudice and judgment all the time in street. At the very beginning of the article Brent start with “My first victim was a woman—white, well-dressed, probably in her late twenties” (207). Leaves reader with a sense of curiosity for looking after evidence of nastiness in the upcoming story that is going to be read. Brent explains his personal experience as a young black African-American, also looking tall and strange, who encounters a lot of stereotyping as he is just living a normal life like others do.…

Jeremy Rifkin makes some very interesting points in this article “A Change of Heart about Animals.” I agree with his point of view that animals do feel pain and have many characteristics similar to humans. In his article he states that “Recent studies in the brain chemistry of rats show that when they play, their brains release large amount amounts of dopamine, a neurochemical associated with pleasure and excitement in human being”. If we were so different from animals how it is even possible that they can have the same emotions as we do. Animals are capable of having feelings, they can feel when something is wrong or good, it’s the relationship you build between them. “Elephants will often stand next to their dead kin for days, occasionally touching their bodies with their trunks.” This shows that this animal is aware that its Kin is dead, this is another thing that humans experience when a loved has passed away. I find it ridiculous when people say that humans are the dominate species because if it weren’t for the weapons that we have created, we would be defenseless against most animals. I understand that many of us eat meat, I myself eat meat too, but the way we over abuse the animals is not good. Many people say that why should we care if animals don’t care either, that its survival of the fittest. What these people don’t realize is that, yes it is survival of the fittest but that’s their way of living they don’t ever over eat, animals just get the amount they need. On the other hand us humans we breed tons and tons of animals and treat them very poorly as if they didn’t have any emotions. This is were they’re wrong animals do feel the pain and torture. They don’t have a voice to speak the truth but we can make a change.…

It’s always good to know that we have newcomers in Toronto! There are many great things about being a Canadian Citizen like our diversity. Our City Motto is “Diversity our strength”, which describes the city, it refers to the strength of seven municipalities. There are over 100 languages spoken here and you are more likely to find an expression of the culture in at least one neighbourhood, in the form of an ethnic event, restaurant or shops. The GTA is the place where the world meets, and mixes. The symbols on the coat of arms have their own meanings. The shield represents the two towers of Toronto city hall, which has the Capital T in the color blue. The eagle represents the native background, for the strength, bravery and power. The Columbine Flower is the symbol of the city of Scarborough.…

A conventional solid-state diode will allow significant current if it is reverse-biased above its reverse breakdown voltage. When the reverse bias breakdown voltage is exceeded, a conventional diode is subject to high current due to avalanche breakdown. Unless this current is limited by circuitry, the diode will be permanently damaged due to overheating. A zener diode exhibits almost the same properties, except the device is specially designed so as to have a reduced breakdown voltage, the so-called zener voltage. By contrast with the conventional device, a reverse-biased zener diode will exhibit a controlled breakdown and allow the current to keep the voltage across the zener diode close to the zener breakdown voltage. For example, a diode with a zener breakdown voltage of 3.2 V will exhibit a voltage…

Students in Malaysia lead really hectic lives, what with regular schooling, compulsory co-curricular activities and piles of homework. Kids don't have time to be kids anymore. The kids that I see who are stressed and anxious are the ones that do too much! They are in school all day, they have after school activities, and then after that have evening events or practices: gymnastics, tuition, hockey clubs, musical practice, etc. In today's competative world, solid education is the only key to success. Parents play a vital role in moulding young people into complete adults who can compete in the challenging world. Students should pay more emphasize on studies as their performance will not take a dip and they will not face a bleak future. If they can pass their examination with flying colours , this will definitely be useful when they apply for job in the future. Things have changed greatly in recent years. Many also have jobs out of necessity. A perfect example can be shown. A 6th grade female student, bright, straight As, burst into tears during her school class. She is in school all day from 8:00am to 3:30pm, and then goes to tuition right after school. She is picked up at 5:30pm, and goes home after they pick up her older siblings. After she reach home, she has to do her homework and one busy day end like this meaningless. She is in a lot of things and excels, but it all piles up heavily. This happens because her parents are pushing her too…
