Free Will In Matched Cassia

Everyone has a fate, but just because it’s your fate doesn’t mean that you can not change how your future will turn out, if you have the determination to change your future then you will be able to affect the outcome. Just like how in these three stories the people used their free will to change their future for themselves. In the book Matched Cassia has a banquet party where she will find out who she is fated to be with. She gets matched/fated to be with a guy named Xander, but when she plugs in her drive she sees a flash of another guy in front of her. She does things with these two guys, and she goes against her fate and chooses to be with Ky. This is an example of free will because she went against society, she did this by having connections with Ky and creating a relationship with him. Cassia chooses to run off and go out to the outer provinces to go find Ky which she should not have done. And she was illegally reading poetry with Ky, which also shows that she did not believe in following the path of her society and going along with her fate because she wanted what she thought would make her
