The hardest thing for college students is waking up in time for class so you won't sleep in. For example if you have a class at 8 you can't stay up to one u have to go to bed earlier and set your alarm to wake up in time. Also when you first wake up don't go on your phone or you will be late for sure. Getting a lot of homework is stressful to do all of it especially if its due the next day. For example if you get like 100 pages of work and its due tomorrow it is not healthy for an adult to do that much and its stressful to finish it in that time. Also homework should be not more than 10 pages in my opinion. It is sometimes hard to keep up with your notes if the professor is talking fast and not stopping. For example if a professor is talking really fast and you missed half of it and he won't repeat it or you can't find it online. Also If the student can't keep up with the professor he may not understand it and not do well on tests. In conclusion college is hard and stressful but you need to keep calm and collective and you will do

Stress is what we experience through a complex interplay between external forces in the environment (stressors) and our perceived ability to adapt to them. Based on our textbook, stressors fall into three main types: catastrophes, significant life changes, and daily hassles. As a high school senior (a month left of high school), my major stressor falls into significant life change category, which are both turning 18 and starting college. I feel like turning 18 will be seen as an adult, so I must act maturely and have tons of responsibility. Also, I am not ready for college at all, I do not want to leave my friends and family and am quite nervous about everything. Whenever I think about I am going to college very soon, I get sweaty palms (physiological) and feel overwhelmed (psychological).…

College students who are stressed out over school can find it hard to maintain their grades. College isn’t as easy as high school nor is it as structure as high school. When you are in high school you have a handful of classes you must attend every day and many of them tend to give homework not because they like grading, but because they are trying to have their students to think critically and to be able to remember how something is done. By repeating a process it is more likely to be able to remain in your long term memory. Whereas if you do it once or twice and class without repeating it. You might not remember everything and the information could possibly fall into short term memory. Whereas College is totally different most classes meet…

College classes are not that much more difficult than high school courses, the only difference is that in college I have to do all of my homework outside of class. I have to take it upon myself to get to the library if needed or meet teachers during their office hours. Another big difference between high school and college is the importance of the each test. Unlike in high school, where daily assignments can help bring up your grade, the main source of grading in college is the test. With possibly only three tests per semester in certain classes, I am under a heavy burden to do well on each test. Also, with all of the independence I now have, homework and studying are not always my first priorities here in college. I would much rather spend time with my friends, watch television, or go to a party than do my schoolwork. I have found that all the distractions that are present in college life lead to procrastinating, and procrastination leads to stress. There have been many times when I have put off doing an assignment until the night before the assignment was due. It is obvious that as a college student, I have had to adapt to a whole new style of learning.…

The professors provide a sense of conformity throughout the classroom; students are unready for the challenges that are to be faced. But the most important thing about homework is the stress involved. If the students have a lot of homework they may suffer of stress. Stress is the natural response of the organism to the different situations that we live very day and that demand answers from us, for which, the body and the mind are activated, generating a healthy alert tension. One of this different situations is the homework we have for school. It is verified that when students spend more time doing homework students are getting lower scores. Transition from high school to college can also be problematic for the majority of students, most of their days were on a very structured schedule, but moving on to college where you are relying entirely on your ability to prioritize, and this can be extremely hard on freshmen struggling to balance their schedules. To be able to sustain themselves and their families comfortably. For a person with two full time jobs of eight hours, works in total sixteen hours per day leaving them with eight hours in a day, this excluding the time in which they commute to and from work, leaving very little time for sleep.…
