First of all, the year was 1972 and it was election year. President Richard Nixon was running for reelection against democratic nominee senator George S. McGovern. The polls had Nixon winning by a comfortable margin. However Nixon was pulling all the strings to ensure a win. On June 17, 1972 the DNC headquarters was broken into by Virgilio González, Bernard Barker, James McCord, Eugenio Martinez, and Frank Sturgis. On that night security guard Frank Willis was on guard, after noticing something peculiar his actions lead to the capturing of these men. After, an investigation by the FBI the men were found to have connections with Richard Nixon’s Campaign. “Police found a significant telephone number in McCord's notebook, that of E. Howard Hunt, a former White House…

Having to watch this movie over and over with my wife, I have come to know this movie quite well. The story revolves around a spoiled Miss Scarlet O’Hara. The movie starts off with the moment she finds her (what she feels is her) true love, Ashley Wilkes is going to marry his cousin, Melanie; to Scarlet “getting even” with Ashley by marrying Melanie’s brother, Charles (who dies in the war due to Measles); to marrying her sister’s (Suellen) betrothed Mr. Frank Kennedy, who dies trying to protect Scarlet after a run in with some ruthless fellows; to her third husband and the co-main character of the story rich, playboy and black sheep to his own family, Mr. Rhett Butler. The story line of how this all boils down and the events that take place before, during and after each of these events is what builds this story up to see how a jealous and less than perfect Southern Belle such as Ms. Scarlet O’Hara, why Tara is so important to her, why Scarlet is the self-efficient, will do what it takes to make this work kind of women and how she made it through all that she endured.…

In the book Forrest Gump does everything that happened in the movie plus a few additional things. Gump in both stories plays college football, becomes an incredible war hero, starts a huge shrimp company, and plays ping-pong for the United States Army against China, but in the novel he also becomes an astronaut who gets stranded on a cannibal island, a champion chess player, and a professional wrestler given the name “The Dunce”. These events just take the book way to far from reality. He meets Jenny as a childhood friend and falls in love with her hoping that one day they could be together. He loves his Mom who was always very supportive of him as a child, and cares deeply about his two friends Lt. Dan and Bubba. His Dad is gone from the story in both cases. “My daddy, he got kilt just…

Imagine a President getting on National TV and lying to the public. Imagine that President then getting caught. This is the Scandal that caused the first ever resignation in United States History, Watergate. The Scandal involved approximately 70 people, but only 25 were actually found guilty. Many people who were found guilty were some of President Nixon’s top officials. Including G. Gordon Libby, John Dean, and H. R. Haldeman.
