Dear Mr/Ms,
Suggestion for the Facility for Block 301
I am Jiang Hong Yuan, a student who currently living in Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5, Block 306. I am writing to give my opinion on the suggestions that have been raised about possible facilities. I think that the senior activity centre which provides entertainment for the elderly and opportunities for companionship will be the best option and it provides the most benefits for the community.
From my observation, most of the residents who live near this area are elderly. Furthermore, most of the households have at least one grandparents living with the family and it is not unusual to see many elderly are wandering below our blocks which are very near to the public HDB car park. It is very unsuitable for the elderly to inhale the polluted air and raise the voices over the sound of passing traffic. Therefore, in my personal opinion, it is necessary for us to provide a comfortable place for them to relax and communicate with each other. Hence I believe that a senior activity centre would be an alternative for the elderly to spend time in. They can take part in activities such as Taichi and mah-jong in the centre without being affected by the surroundings.
Moreover, an article provides certain data shows that Singapore is an aging society. 75% of

Although having unhealthy food is quite valuable for many students, we should propose something that would benefit the school and the students. I recommend we start replacing unhealthy food like chips and soda pop with more nourishing food like yogurt or fruit juice. This would not only help having healthier food but also persuade students to eat healthy. Another way we can start the process of healthy food is through using the power of posters in which we can advertise about all the advantages of keeping a healthy yet effective food diet. If us grade nine students start eating healthier this would make us great role models for the younger students who would also want to eat food high in nutrients. By applying these methods the grade nine students will still be able to attend there adventure camp in spring every year and also exercise the benefits of eating much healthier.…

Firstly, I am going to discuss the different services and activities that were made available to older people in their retirement home. There were many activities available for the older people and some of them include; baking, knitting circle, choir practice, movie time, going to the casino, recreational games and pub night. All of these services are beneficial concerning the elderly. Firstly these activities consist of a usually at least one social worker that lead the group and assist them with the activity. Physical activities are just as important as they help contribute to life long health benefits. “For elderly people who are sufficiently mobile and healthy (without disease) in this study, habitual physical activity, especially high-frequency physical activity (e.g., 5 or more days/week), may help reduce insomnia.” (Inoue). These tasks can include befriending, visiting, shopping and driving or any task reasonable that could help the elderly enrich their daily living. The service…
