At first I didn’t really know who was killing Alex’s family; all that I knew was that that the killer‘s name was Multh or that’s the name the detectives gave him. But as the story went on and Sunday, a character in the book, killed a person the first couple of chapters, for wanted to break into his car. Since then I knew something was up. On chapter eight I see that Sunday is actually paying the guy Multh to kill Alex’s family. His paying this “prefect killer” to kill a FAMLIY. Is it CRAZY? The UDC was one such group that historian David Blight believes was fighting for control of historical interpretation during what he calls the second era of the Lost Cause. If there is any one point by the United Daughters of the Confederacy that displayed their support of the Lost Cause, Caroline Janney provides the example with the women’s intent to commemorate the faithful slaves “when they pressed for the erection of a national faithful slave monument.” Janney is showing how the South tried to impart a belief that this type of monument would show how slave owners valued and respected the slave. Even though the women avoided discussing race, Janney explains, the women went out of their way to praise the African Americans but only in the…

When he got a little closer, he saw a very large animal who was covering an abnormally large amount of ground in a short amount of time. He describes the animal as to cover about fifteen to twenty feet in just two strides, while not running. The creature made absolutely no noticeable noise. He mentions what he saw was the creature standing seven to seven and a half feet tall and an estimated five hundred pounds in weight. He describes the creature as being muscular and covered with dark fur, with long arms and hunched over posture. The deer hunter states that the creature moved quickly down the hillside and was gone in just a few seconds. Like both of the above incidents, it happened in a wooded area which provides plenty of coverage for the…

Being one of my later hunts of the season, it was very cold. Nearing the end of the season I was anxious to finally get a deer, as we hadn’t even seen one all season. We put our teeth (claws that help with traction) on the bottom of our boots, just to be safe.…

At the end of the story she and Tariq reunite with their daughter and her son and she was able to get away from the cruelty and abuse that Rasheed inflicted on her. The Indians definitely aid the settlers in many ways. First, by not aiding them right off the bat in the starvation period, gives the settlers a bit of a backbone and a realistic outlook on this venture. A view such that this place is not like Spain, they have to start from nothing and actually work to survive or they will die, surely. With this outlook on the entire journey, the Indians supply a sense of relief when they reach out to the settlers to form some sort of agreement to aid each population. The Indians gave the Englishmen food to keep them from being wiped out from famine and “hoped to acquire guns, hatchets, and swords,” (Norton 17) however this relationship did not workout properly and the Indians did not receive their weapons.…
