forest
As you go deeper into the never-ending forest the outside world closes. Not a house, a car or a person in sight, all alone in an enchanted forest. The trees stand together yet are still completely alone. They are like shadows, haunting one another. I looked up at the glistening, starry leaves, gleaming like raindrops. The sounds of the rattling of tiny plants, grass, and swirling leaves on the ground was almost completely silent, only the wind that made the whistling sounds among the bare trees was the only sound that was deafening to my ears. Colors shimmer everywhere, shades of golden reds and oranges, bright yellow, moss green, the dusty brown of the tree trunks and the enchanted light at the end of the road as if it is leading me to a magical place. The treetops are catching the last bit of sunlight before the sun goes down for the day. I hear the soft rustling as the trees branches as if whispering to each other. The birds are singing to each other and the buzzing of the bouncing bees. When the clouds are ebony and gray, and the trees are bare, nature says walk in here in this path, if you dare. Where plants rot and trees are colorless, all humans who enter will despair and depress.

I took the little path behind the house that led to the forest. I was alone on that beautiful day and without thinking about anything I continued my way through the forest. The trees were beautiful and impressive, there were beeches, pines, and a very old oak. I stopped to look more closely at it. I thought this tree must have been there for a very long time. Then I heard leaves moving. First I thought it was because of the wind, but I saw a very little wild animal running through the fern. It had dark fur with tints of blue. I had never seen such an animal before and its colour surprised me. Then the little animal ran away and I remained alone in the immensity of the forest. I was far away from home now but I could not help walking. Nobody was waiting for me at home and I decided to make the most of this superb day. I had been walking for about three hours now, and I felt tired. I lay down on the grass and fell asleep.…

You feel the cool air warm up around yourself. There is a pleasantness that can only be found in these warm winter days. Birds squawk overhead. In a pack they fly in v’s. You wanted to fly, but the dream fled after you jumped off the deck. Birds gain height, you gained a broken arm. The birds slow and descend onto the small patch of grass to your left. Wildlife is all around you, but the adults don’t seem to notice. Not far ahead, a squirrel shoves acorns into his mouth, climbing up a tree he deposits his cache into a hole. He runs down the tree to start the process again. Nature is a cycle, a loop that won’t…

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep," This line from the poem Stopping by woods, is saying that the woods are an opinionated place. The woods may be lovely to some, and scary to others. People may consider the woods to be lovely as they may have an interest for nature and it’s beauty. They may also like to see interesting animals, and escape from the reality of life. Some people might want to sit on a tree branch and enjoy the peace and quiet. To some people forests are a dark place, where they can escape to when they want to be alone. People may want to go to the woods to captivate their curious souls, and do something adventurous in the woodlands. Teenagers might want to play around and maybe even invite some friends to hang out with. The…

Upon arriving at the state park, the beautiful trees of autumn welcome you along with the variety of faces unfamiliar to you, walking around care-free. The trunks of the trees were all sorts of sizes with multitude colors; the trees were particularly brown, like milk chocolate. While some trees were bare, others possessed a thick collection of leaves, fanning out like the mane of a lion. The collection of people walking among the fallen autumn leaves creates an everlasting sound—swish, swish, swish. The faint sound of the lake brushing against the sand murmurs in the distance, inviting you to…

The Sense of belonging is again brought up for characters through the use of imagery. “free from public taunt… tongues in trees, … sermons in stones”. Through this imagery we see the forest as a place “free from public taunt” where the characters can learn better values from the forest. The forest is personified as a teacher with “tongues in trees” and “sermons in stones”, the end of this line “and good in everything” is used to…

Unlike the town, the Forest contains no trace of malice. When Pearl tells her mother, “The sunshine does not love you. It runs away and hides itself, because it is afraid of something in your bosom”, she explains that nature responds to morality (165). The forest can discern between innocence and sin. It is untamed and wild. When rain comes, the water “transmutes the yellow fallen leaves to gold”, signifying the raw beauty that dwells in the forest (183). The rose bush beside the jail resembles good among…

One the day of the first excursion, Ryan and I got up early, had our breakfast and pack for a day out surrounded by Mother Nature environment. We took a bus ride about 4 hours with a group of other people that is also going on this trip. We arrived at the top of the lake and then we got our lifejacket on and went onto the bamboo raft with our guide. The water was not clean, there was some debris floating around the lake, and that because heavy rain had fallen the night before. The water was more in a darkish black with the looks of cloudiness to it and had no smell at all, but yet it looks creepy. On the brighter side, the forest is something to talk about. The trees are very old according to the guide, most of these trees are over 100 years old, pretty amazing I say. The shape of some of these trees are wonders and I even came across one with a face, it actually feels like it was looking at me, watching my move, as if it was the protector of…

The surrounding peaceful regions and journey throughout the experience are astonishing. Moreover, nature is essentially ascetically pleasing to the eye, "A dull buzz of insects from the forest, tired horses grazing at the side of the road. The wildflowers growing by the roadside were abstract from this vantage point, paint dots of pink and purple and blue in the grass" (120), illustrating how different life forms takes place in the forest, the wildlife and nature itself. The subtle beauty of the wilderness still survives even in this horrific catastrophe creation of the world. Even more, representing the sense of hope in the darkest times, otherwise, the light at the end of a tunnel. The passiveness of the forest implies a significantly more positive and peaceful environment when traveling. Naturally, many different, peculiar discoveries are made in the wilderness, such as "When Kristen and August left the house in the woods… ‘It was incredible. I almost wanted to lock the door behind us’" (199). Many distinctive discoveries made in the forest due to this new abstract world. The usual cottages and houses in the trees are becoming rare and precious. These amazing discoveries are in the wilderness since not many people ponder in the shadows of the trees. Nevertheless, the sight of the wilderness is overall strikingly stunning, and…
