1. Describe the crime that you are investigating in this activity. The crime that I am investigating in this activity is who from the band Sassy Snips stole the boy band, Crucial Cuts, hair products. A hair was found in their dressing room so they needed to examine it to figure out who stole the hair products.
2. What evidence do you have to identify the culprit of the crime? A piece of hair that the culprit left at the scene of the crime.
3. Who stole the hair products? How do you know? Jade stole the hair products because when I did the tests her hair type matched up. Because she bleached her hair the test detected the chemical used in the dying process.
4. Describe the crime that you are trying to solve. I am trying to solve how the car crash happened and what exactly killed Cody and how they got alcohol if they're underage.
5. Who is one pioneer in autopsy? What did this person contribute to the practice of autopsies? Alexander Gettler he did experiments on dogs by making them consume alcohol and his findings now allows scientist to determine if alcohol consumption relates to death.
6. How does alcohol affect the body? Give specific examples from the episodes. Alcohol slows down the body and impairs your thinking. In the episode, I learned that alcohol effects women differently then men and if you weigh little then you will not be able to maintain your alcohol as well.
7. Why is evidence important in forensic science? What evidence was important in the episodes? Why? Evidence allows you to help figure out what happened and give you an idea of how and why it happened. Evidence was important in the episode when the scientists were trying to decide whether or not the teens were intoxicated when they got in the crash.
