This study wouldn’t be possible without the everlasting love, care and assistance from all our family who supported us in the making of this project. The researchers would never forget to acknowledge Ms. Kristin who extended her valuable time in explaining the whole course of the research.

Abstract Some flea shampoo for dogs is manufactured with different types of chemicals. Some of these chemicals are harmful. Thus the researchers are trying to create an all natural homemade flea shampoo for dogs that is not only healthy but also easy to make and economically wise. The purpose of this experiment is to find out that a homemade flea shampoo for dogs is as effective as those bought in a store. We first chose a recipe from the internet and bought the materials needed. The main ingredients used were apple cider vinegar and dye-free liquid dish detergent. We mixed all the materials together and then tested our product.

Mickel Angelo A. Martinez EN 11 R-49 On the 1st of July 2007, Unilever launched its new shampoo brand: Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. It claims to rid the hair of men and women alike of all dandruff, and nourish the scalp at the same time. Once it was launched, there was immediately alot of buzz over the product. Maybe it was because the product contained Zinc Vitanol, an ingredient not used in any other anti-dandruff shampoo. Or maybe it was just because it was marketed well, having high-quality television commercials and the international pop star, Rain, as its endorser. But nevertheless, after a few months the brand became incredibly popular, having elite Filipino celebrities such as Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, and John Lloyd Cruz in its advertisements. Unilever was able to convince the consumers that Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is the anti-dandruff shampoo to beat all anti-dandruff shampoos, thanks to its clinically proven formula and clever marketing. Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo’s clinically proven formula contributed to its fast rise in popularity. The formula contained a patented Zinc Vitanol complex that stops and prevents dandruff from recurring. It also contains Amino Acids, which nourishes scalp and hair, Vitamin E, an anti-oxidant that supports the body’s natural defensesand fights free radicals for healthy scalp and hair, and Sunflower Oil, which retains moisture in the scalp and provides a protective barrier from recurrence of dandruff. And this formula was basically appealing to the consumers; it challenged the consumers to buy the product, just to see if it actually worked. But the formula was not the only factor which brought up the popularity of Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo in the Philippines; Unilever’s marketing strategy was the biggest factor when it came to the popularity of Clear in the Philippines. Unilever was very creative when it came to marketing Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo; their advertisements were modern and attractive. Their…

Once you have chosen your castile soap base, you can add your essential and/or fragrance oils to the mixture. Different oils will affect the hair in different ways depending on what you are looking for in a homemade shampoo. For instance if you are looking to control dandruff and to sooth an itchy scalp, then you would add Tea Tree oil and Chamomile to your shampoo base. If you wanted to add extra shine to your hair with a great scent, then you would add Lemongrass and Rosemary.…

Today, one of the major issued of the society is sickness and disease. Colds, influenza, conjunctivitis and sore throat are what we may call common but that doesn’t change the fact that they inconvenient and as to the word “disease” itself, dis-ease. People are looking the best way to protect themselves against these said diseases. The Department of Health (DOH) has often reminded us trough printed advertisement and TV commercials that frequent handwashing with soap can help us killed disease-causing germs thus preventing the disease itself altogether. But not all the time we have the luxury to wash our hands like we out of the city, or in the market, or inside the movie theater. One solution to this problem is bringing a small bottle of alcohol wherever you go but studies have shown that alcohol, as effective as it is in killing germs, can dry our skin. Then there came the rise of hand sanitizers. Using hand sanitizer is an effective and hassle-free way in killing germs. It is a supplemental or alternative to hand washing with soap and water. Usually, commercial hand sanitizer products contain the 60% alcohol necessary to kill germs effectively and safely but employ additional ingredients to moisturize and condition the skin. That is why we decided to create a hand sanitizer for our investigatory project. But unlike most commercial hand sanitizers in the market, we will be using natural ingredients like plants and such.…
