Glorious Gloria: An Inside Look

I am Victoria Marie reporting to you with the great, glorious, Gloria Swanson. I'm interviewing her today to give you an inside look into this superstar's life! Many of you have wrote in a lot of questions and I'm here to get them answered for you! Before we start the interview, for those of you who haven't heard about Gloria's achievements on the silver screen, she first starred in "The Fable Of Elvira and Farina and the Meal".

Now, we shall start the questioning!
Q: Hello Gloria, where did you grow up and where were you born?
A: I was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 27, 1899.
Q: Did growing up in Chicago shape the woman you are today?
A: Yes it did! Growing up in such a busy and highly populated town made you want to stand out and be known for something. Living there with my parents surrounded me with everything I needed to become a star! It inspired me to shape myself so I'd be known all around! The way of life here helped me greatly when shaping my movie star image.

Q: Where did you receive your education?
A: I received my education in many different schools. Throughout my education I attended schools in Chicago; Key West, Florida; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. These multiple schools helped me learn many things I use in my career today.

Q: What did you do before you got famous?
A: I worked as a sales clerk in a small department store.
Q: When did you get interested in the movie business?
A: I got interested when my Aunt and myself went back to Chicago when I was 18, to see how silent movies were made. This fascinated me greatly and I knew then that I wanted to be part of this new movement!

Q: Something happened at the set didn't it? What happened there Gloria?
A: I Was picked from the crowd on random because of my young age and beauty to star as an extra in the 1915 movie "The Fable Of Elvira and Farina and the Meal" this is where I got my start.
