Flag: Hope, Freedom, Trust, And Respect
My Flag What does the flag mean to you? To me it means Hope, Freedom, Trust, and Respect. Well that what it means to me the flag is something that lets people know that they are safe and know that we are good people and you do not have to be scarred. My dad served for the air force and the army. He knows a lot so I feel safe. But it’s hard to let him go but he is still alive. The American Flag, Hope, is trust worthy and believing yourself, Freedom, being able to vote no madder what race you are and not being owned by someone eels that shows Freedom. Trust, someone knowing that you are not doing anything bad that is Trust. Respect, is someone that shows Respect like not messing your things up or destroying your belongings. Know

    It says there should be no disrespect to the flag. I believe that burning the flag is disrespectful to our country and our military. I don’t think any American should burn the flag for any reason. If you don’t like the way our government is get on a plane or boat and leave. There are many rules about the American flag that people don’t follow and I think most people don’t know about the flag code. Like displaying the flag at night I see a lot of flags the people have up at night with no light on them the American flag should never see darkness. Another one is about having the flag at half-staff. A lot of people don’t realize that you should take the flag all the way to the top of the pole then lower back to half-staff and when you go to take it down for the night you should take it all the way back up and then lower it to the bottom with waiting hands. I respect the flag and what it means to our country, the only way I believe the flag should be burned is in Flag Retirements service. They are held by the VFW or an elk lodge and usually done on Flag Day. The only flags that should be retired at this time is ones that are to soiled or damaged to…
