Five Strengths And Weaknesses
Similar to other students, each of my five strengths has a significant influence on my life at Grace as well as my studies. First of all, being an achiever clearly empowers me to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. A few of the characteristics of an achiever are great stamina, productive, and a hard worker; these will definitely benefit me in the coming years. Also, this strength will aid me in my goal of attaining good grades during my college time. No matter what, I always put my best effort into my work. I generally do what is asked of the teacher/professor without even thinking as well as do anything necessary in order to pay attention to what is being taught which more than likely will be an advantage for me. In addition to having achiever as a characteristic, I also have relator. This strength will become more apparent as I make new friends. I tend to have fewer friends, but those relationships are also deeper in meaning. I do not like just being surface friends with someone; I want a real connection. I have always been like this and will continue to be so during college. Finding meaningful friendships is essential for college students because they not only help you through difficult …show more content…
This one was harder for me to actually see in my life, but after some contemplating I finally realized it is perfect when concerning my personal relationships. I am always trying to help others, no matter the cost to myself. No matter what it is someone needs help with (homework, relationship advice, etc…) I am always willing to help. I would rather have others benefit over something than myself. I believe that this is one reason I am supposed to become a teacher. After all, what better way is there to help children than to teach them? Humanity needs to believe in themselves and each other more in order to achieve anything. I will always believe anyone can achieve anything they put their mind to; more people need to have this

I find writing a very neutral subject because I am not terrible nor excellent at it. I have always written enough for it to be satisfactory. Therefore, I believe that one of my strengths as a writer is being able to understand what I have to write about and knowing what I want to say. I question myself every step of the way, asking myself “ Is what I am writing, answering the topic that I am addressing?” However, with that said, I believe that my weakness lies in that fact that I cannot put my thoughts into words. I have a vast amount of ideas that never get a chance to come alive on paper. I feel that I am not very good at transitions and sentence structures. Another weakness is that it takes me an awful long…

What are Strengths? This question is one that I did not have the answer to or even respond. When classes started, I knew that everyone had strengths, but I never knew how to go about and find what makes me unique out of seven billion people in the world. When I first took the Clifton Strengths Quest, my mind was pondering how a test that has strongly agree on one end and strongly agree on the other end would produce my five themes. Then as I was reading the results, it was surprisingly accurate with my personality. My five results were Achiever, Intellection, realtor, learner, and input. Reading the description for each word made me reflect on how I was using these five themes in my current life. The Clifton test has helped by identifying what is a strength talent are, figuring out what the best career choice, and using strengths to apply to life.…

After completing the StregthsQuest survey, I learned that my five greatest strengths are Harmony, Competition, Achiever, Includer, and Communication. Some of these strengths I had previously recognized as a strength, but a few were a surprise to me. Growing up, I was always a competitive person. I enjoyed the thrill of winning, whether it be in a team effort or individual effort. Also, I have always wanted to achieve great things in both my personal and professional life. I believe that I have always been great at communicating with others and love to include others in everything that I do to achieve a goal. The biggest strength of mine that surprised me most was Harmony. However, after reading about each strength, I know how I have utilized…

I agree with my strengths that I have compassion. I feel that I am a very compassionate person. I truly enjoy working with and helping people. My compassion is the main reason that I have chosen to work in the healthcare field. Even though my work has not exactly been hands on medical treatment to patients it has always been the work of making sure patients are getting the quality care and respect that they deserve. Another strength I possess is that I see clearly and use my head. I always trust my gut and feel that I am in tune with myself and have the ability to stop and interpret my instincts. In other words I have good judgment and trust my judgment. I also concur that I live out my role of responsibility. When I complete any work, regardless what the work is and it has my name on it I am going to complete it thoroughly and with pride. I want my classmates and co-workers to know that they can rely on me to complete my work and that my work will be that of quality.…

The first of my strengths is achiever. This means that whenever I start something, I like to finish it and generally do whatever it takes to reach that goal. My second strength, adaptability, in a way, ties into the first one. Adaptability means being able to approach problems from different angles and finding new ways to complete things when one idea doesn't work. I feel like these two strengths relate to me pretty well. I do not like to leave projects open ended whenever I start them and I'm usually pretty good at 'rolling with the punches.' These two allow me to tackle situations in a variety of ways and leave me with plenty of the proverbial “plan B's” in case any of the first attempts do not work properly.…

As a writer, there are things that I do well, but there are also things I could improve on to make my writing better. I’m pretty good at getting my point across, and getting people to understand what I’m trying to say. Another thing I’m good at is just writing the paper. Once I get started on a paper it is very easy for me to just keep writing until I’m done with it. However, when doing this I tend to not use the best grammar and be too wordy with my writing. I can definitely fix these issues, and continue to build on the things that I do well.…
