Ever since the age of 5, I always look towards the sight and sounds of a fire truck. Many of my friends as boys, wanted to become firefighters. As we progressed into men, they no longer were motivated to become firefighters. There reasons varying from the career being too dangerous, too underpaid, the hours being too long. However, as I did more research such as this interview, it has motivated me more and more to become a firefighter. Firefighting is no longer just a dream in my head, it is a very tangible career. Chase and I have been friends for close to 2 and half years and I’ve seen his firefighting career progress from a dream to an actual job. I hope to follow in his footsteps.
