This essay is on being a firefighter and everything you need to know about a fireman. To begin, what even is a firefighter? A firefighter is a person whose job is to extinguish fire, as in put out fires. Plus, there's more, a firefighter has a lot more to it than putting out fires, they are hero’s with a lot of action and danger. They even put their lives behind others. How to become a fireman? Firefighter's need a high school diploma and training in emergency medical services.A firefighter must also pass written and physical test’s, complete a series of interviews, go through training at a fire academy, and hold an emergency medical technician certification. Some firefighter’s receive a few months of training at fire academies. Firefighter’s also must complete a probationary period. Some fire departments have accredited apprenticeship programs that last up to four years. The programs …show more content…
A person would want to be a firefighter for a variety of reasons. Like, they get to save people’s lives. They also know what they want, to put out fires, and help the community. They also get to experience a lot, and they get trained to know what they're doing that way they are prepared for the worst to happen, and they know what to do, and how to do. A firefighter also requires a lot of teamwork. A firefighter is basically all team work, a firefighter doesn’t work independant. Also a full time firefighter is arranged about twenty-two thousand to about fifty thousand per year. A part time firefighter’s average is about eight dollars to twenty-five dollars per hour. A firefighter will earn extra money by working an extra shift to maintain minimum staffing members, or when called in for a special emergency. Also if you become a firefighter, you can inspire and be the change to the world, you can make a difference in people’s lives from saving them.
