Introduction

Cheetah Holdings Berhad was established in year 1977. The company was listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 19th January 2005. In year 2007, they have moved into the First Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The objective of Cheetah Holdings Berhad is to grow its bottom line together with its mission and vision of increasing profitability, satisfying stakeholders and enhancing skills of their people to upgrade their research and development.

It is a family business trading of sports apparel. The “CHEETAH” brand of products was launched in 1979, signifying entry into the sport apparel arena. There are other developed brand names, which are CTH Ladies, CTH Unlimited, Cheetah Junior, Cheetah Ladies, Baby Cheetah, C. Union and C2 United. In addition, the company has two international licensee brands which is Ladybird for children wear and GQ for men’s business wear.

Cheetah Holdings Berhad missions is to increase profitability and generate satisfactory returns for shareholders by continually improving its products and services, anticipating and satisfying the needs of their customers, enhancing the skills of their people and providing them with regarding career opportunities and upgrading their research and development.

Through this mission, the company can increase more investors to invest in their company which will increase the financial resources by focusing more on increasing shareholders’ profit. In addition, the company understood that consumers are their key value in generating more profits. Thus, they are always coming up with quality products as they foresee that customer satisfaction is very important to them. Moreover, the working spirit of employees becomes stronger.     Fiscal policy refers to use of government revenue collection and expenditure to influence its economy. Fiscal policy targets a country’s budget of its economic activities. Government can adjust its spending and taxation levels through changing the income distribution, resource allocation or level of aggregate demand and economic activity. In the context of Brazil, in 1970s, the government put some stringent penalties to regulate its imports. The government kept the import tax and penalties high.
