Financial Aid Situation Analysis
Thanks for the financial aid offer of $9,170.00. I appreciate the offer and the faith Georgia Institute of Technology has placed in me by giving me this financial aid award because every dollar helps in bridging the college financing gap. I do realize that the award covers only 18.75% of the total cost ($48, 896.00) of attending Georgia Tech. After the Great Recession of 2008, my parents relocated to India which is why they are not able to support my college tuition expenses. Their software business revenue has dropped to 5% of the pre-recession levels. In addition, the currency exchange rate of USD = INR 65 is quite unfavorable when converting Indian Rupees to US Dollars. My parents lived, worked and paid taxes in US for 24 years, and created local jobs in their software company. My father lived and worked in the Dunwoody area in his early career. …show more content…
My EFC as estimated by FAFSA was 300 USD, so please review this detail and correct it. I have not requested a Federal Direct (Stafford) Student Loan as a first preference.
I really want to be a part of the Georgia Tech student body. So, I formally request you to reconsider the financial aid offer, increase the financial aid funding and waive the tuition fees. Without additional funding, my dream and aspiration of attending Georgia Tech will be shattered. While we have submitted all relevant documents, if you need any additional details, please do let me know.
Thanks again for taking the time to review my application and the submitted documents. I look forward to meeting you on Georgia Tech campus to thank you in

My parents paid for my whole tuition is around $ 5,550.00 per semester. When I received the scholarship from GPC (before merging to GSU) $ 3,027. 00 per semester because I have good grades (GPA over 3.5), my parents only paid around $ 2,500 per semester and plus $300 per month for reting a room. However, after merging into GSU, I do not have the scholarship any more. My parents have to pay again whole tuition $ 5,550.00 per semester and plus $ 300 rent fee per month. The bill I’m proposing would involve using Texas public funding to support two-year colleges and four-year universities through a 10% tax increase program each year called The College Help Tax. College tuition, today is up to $7,000 a semester and continues to raise every year. Through this tax program, it would be of assistance for all Texas residents to use to attend college. There would be no restrictions so every Texas citizen would be able to receive a college degree without the massive price tag.…

The scholarships that the Carlson School of Management’s MBT program has to offer would mean a tremendous deal to my family and myself because it will lighten the financial burden that has been placed relating to my education. As someone who began the MBT program right after my undergraduate degree, I currently don’t have the opportunity or chance for an employer to help me subsidize the costs related to education costs. In 150 words, why Tech? Challenged accepted. Perhaps it’s the world renowned biomedical engineering major, “real word” application co-op program, entertaining Greek life, or the beautiful campus with a bustling city vibe; all great attributes that Georgia Tech maintains, but the most meaningful reason I’m applying to Tech is the ambitious, broad-mined, and intuitive students and staff found there. I’ve always searched for attributes among others that could grow in myself. Purposely surrounding myself with those who posses these traits in hopes that I could learn, replicate similar features in my choices and actions, and overall becoming a better person. Regardless of where I go, “Tech” schools will teach engineering, but what remains exclusive…
