Final Reflection
I have come to learn that we all possess caring minds, listening skills, sincere attitudes, and the utmost willingness to clarify things. I believe that I can develop those effective communication skills further as I work as a teacher. My biggest concern is the parents rejecting my sincere attitude to improve communication in and out of the classroom environment, and in doing so, refuse to listen or abide to classroom rules. Although I am not sure whether the four characteristics of the effective communication skills can resolve any conflicts with angry parents, I would like to experiment with each aspect, especially because no one is the same. Therefore, building a trustful, symbiotic relationship with the parents in the beginning

1.1 Effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with children as we are role models for children and we should set a positive example, For example if we behave in a silly way in front of a child when we have asked them to behave in a sensible way, the child is more likely to be confused as to how they are supposed to act, they will find it harder to understand the boundaries of what is good behaviour. Another example if I ask a group of children to line up and walk sensibly to the dinner hall and I…

Testimonies can bring even more power to the already powerful gospel story. When I think of powerful testimonies I think of Billy Sunday’s testimony. Sunday was a professional baseball player, and was also a drunk. Sunday was drunk one day with a few of his buddies, and someone invited him to the Pacific Garden Mission where he was saved.…

Effective communication is very important in building a positive relationship with children, young people and adults. Firstly if we do not communicate then how can any kind of relationship form and develop. Depending on the situation, circumstance and setting will interpret the way we communicate and the style in which we do it. The basics may stay the same although we don’t just use words we use body language, facial expressions and gestures. We as adults are role models to children and for them to behave appropriately and to understand about relationships we need to demonstrate this. Misunderstandings and unnecessary worry could be prevented if good communication exists, developing positive relationships is very important to help achieve a happy environment. Children will learn and develop more comfortably and confidently when good relationships have been formed. While in the work place communicating effectively with our colleagues can be beneficial in our role as it demonstrates that we are able to talk about job related issues and also helps to cement strong and trusting relationships. Effective communication is essential in developing positive relationships. Communication forms the basis of all relationships; whether between adults, children or young people. Effective communication ensures that misunderstandings do not occur. Also expectations are expressed so that others understand their roles and responsibilities. This can be applied to both adults and children. Children should know their boundaries and understand what is expected of them. This will ensure positive behaviour occurs and any unwanted behaviour is dealt with and remodelled positively. Sanctions and rewards should be a key part of this. The effectiveness of using these strategies is dependent on good communication. This means that the whole school community…

Effective and good communication is paramount when working with children, young people and adults within a school environment. Maintaining an honest, positive and supportive attitude at all times will help to develop strong relationships and build trust, e.g if a child lacks in confidence and isn’t a good communicator, by having a supportive, caring and positive approach towards them it may then encourage them to confide in you if they have things that concern them.…

The experience of completing this extended task was very intriguing and unique compared to the other activities we have completed throughout the year. I found it quite enjoyable to incorporate three unique and diverse characters from three unique and diverse pieces of literature into a meaningful composition of literature. The hardest part, in my opinion, was to come up with an original idea. Deciding which characters to select and how to make them interact was challenging and was not a smooth process. Only after several failed scraps was I finally able to synthesize a plot that was logical and had rational elements. It was extremely frustrating to appear to have a good idea, only to have it fail when analyzing its logistics with greater depth.…

In this critical reflection, I will make an objective evaluation of what the course learned by the Advanced Journalism Skills in the spring semester. I also will talk about the problem I met during this process and the solution I took. In this course, we learned how to re-write and shape journalists' copies for print and online versions and how to use InDesign for layout to create a spread in a magazine. we completed a magazine spread whilst working with a team and worked towards a timed in-class exercise to create and completed the magazine. Our magazine style is based on the design of the BBC FOCUS, Time and other magazines. In addition, it incorporated the creative elements of our group, which eventually formed a magazine that contained…

Based on the feedbacks I have received from patients, sometimes from nurses is mostly pace and intonation, I tend to talk too quick and sometimes my accent doesn’t help as much, but I try to slow down and make my speech clearer. If there anything m patient cannot understand I try to make it more simple for them, even when I’m educating a patient about a new medication or just telling them about their plan of care or possible procedures, I try not to sound too technical so they can comprehend why I say. If you were to think about the classroom as a stage and I was performing the role of the student, I would be categorized as a responsible student. I use many props – such as my backpack, writing utensils and my notebook – and I have an audience filled with peers and my professor. This is shown throughout various different characteristics of the student. Teachers, parents, and peers can all assume who is a good student and who is not by their preparation for the class, in-class behavior, and how they manage their classes on their free time.…
