Film Viewer Opinion
Films used to be a treat as a young child, whether I went to the drive-in or the movie theatre to see the film was not a question. It was a matter of treating myself to see a film that was just released. . Because of this I was always with the same mindset, treating myself to a film for doing something worth a reward. Today choosing what type of film is dependent upon what type of mood I am in. For instance, if I am feeling down, I may decide that a comedy is a fantastic idea.
Many times when choosing a movie, I tend to lean more toward a film that I have a genuine interests within. For example I enjoy making people laugh, therefore I enjoy a great comedy. Perhaps a film about a restaurant, because I am a chef food always interests me. My favorite holiday is Halloween, so a horror flick is never a bad option, either. I often will go and see a movie alone, and enjoy the film in its entirety with no other friends to interrupt during the film. If I do go with a group of friends I try to distance myself a seat away from a person so that no one will interrupt the progression of the movie.
Films are enjoyable for many reasons in opinion. I personally enjoy a movie in which I can relate somehow to, whether it is something I have experienced or have a genuine interest in learning more about. I typically seek movies that I can take away a positive experience whether it is an emotion or knowledge. Mostly when choosing to view a film, I want to be entertained with a new story line that I can follow clearly without acquiring to think about what is unfolding and trying to piece the film together. Watching a film many times allows us to escape from the reality we each experience.
On the contrary, aspects of films that I do not enjoy are movies that contain any type of science fiction, films that may not be relatable, and films that are not entertaining to my tastes in films. Many of my friends are science fiction fans, so I am often invited to attend these films, I have gone and tried to see the films and enjoy them, but it is just not as entertaining to me as it is to them. I am an individual, and I think many people have their own unique qualities, just as they each have opinion to what is entertaining in a film.
With so many genres of film for many tastes, this is evident weekly with the release of many films. Films are great way to enjoy entertainment with a group of people and escape the stresses in our everyday lives.

All throughout history art has been around to appeal to those who were willing to take the time to understand it. While a large majority can appreciate art in itself, it is clear that not everyone has the patience or sometimes are just not even willing to attempt, to appreciate it. In the last century or so film has brought art to the attention of a larger audience through a way that, to many, comes across as more appealing.…

Films that I particularly favor are thrillers. One reason Thrillers become so enjoyable for me, a sense of diversion is created making the viewers more indulge in the movie all the way to the ending. The plots are usually twisted, climatic, suspenseful and intelligence is often use far as the writing perspective to result in an ecliptic viewing of the movie. A really great thriller will usually bring a shock factor by the climax, then the movie will receive a better understanding from the beginning to end. Another genre of films I enjoy are Musicals they are fashionable and express emotions through singing. I am really into lyricism so I enjoy comparing the actual expression of the each character's individual story and the progression…

Storytelling is more important to me than anything else, and I believe film is one of the most rewarding and honest forms of storytelling. Ever since I was a little kid I have been in love with movies. When I was nine I got a camcorder for Christmas, and I would make my friends help me remake scenes from my favorite movies, and when they said the lines wrong I would yell at them and make them do it over and over until they got it right or got so annoyed with me that they went home.…

A good movie to me is inspirational. The Pursuit of Happiness is one of the most inspirational movies I have ever seen. Not only is it inspirational, but it is also a true story. The main character goes from being homeless with a kid, to being a millionaire. It makes me want to watch it over and over again. Forest Gump is another great example of a good movie. The main character experiences so much throughout his life. A lot of it was not good. No matter how bad things got, he always stayed positive and kept moving on with his life. Movies like this can motivate people to keep fighting for what they want in life. Not only are these movies, but they can also be life lessons. Good movies like these keep me going sometimes.…

Families might choose to go to the movie theater for the simple fact that it allows them to get out of the house. Everyone feels like they deserve a “night out on the town” after a long hard week of work or school. Nobody wants to be cooped up all day inside the house, so being able to get out and do something with the family brings billions of people to the movie theater each year. I believe this is the number one reason why anyone still pays an arm and a leg to watch a movie. The high quality picture and lively experience keep people coming back for more. In addition, families may choose to go to a movie theater, because they want to watch the newest releases. Having watched television all week at the house, and seeing the movie trailers for each new movie builds up the suspense, and makes people not want to wait to view the movie. They want to be able to go watch it right away, so they have some new material to talk about with their friends and coworkers. Going to the movie theater continues to be a great conversation starter as well as an entertainment factor.…
