Filipino vs Phenomenal Catastrrophe
In our distant years we had been measured and defied by different tribulations in our life. But what could be more to catastrophic phenomenal like typhoon, flash floods and the alarming tsunami alert that devastated the livelihood and lives of many people in our country. In just a year we become exposed to numerous calamities that left holes and trauma to Filipino people. As much as we seek for peacefulness and contentment in life, we cannot alter the nature’s revenge to the mankind.
But this would not be the end of the lives of Filipino people. We all know that our days of seeking progress and livelihood become minimal as we face different phenomenal catastrophe in a year. Imagine the numerous typhoons that had swept the different provinces with its alarming effect to the area. Causing floods, landslides, destroying properties and the worst of all taking lives of many innocent people, most of them are children and elders. They are the ones not strong enough to surpass the diseases brought about by those calamities. Calamities with different orthography, with different names, whatever it may be it would always spell c-a-t-a-s-t-r-o-p-h-e. It spreads like a slander and it makes the victims lissome. But fortunately despite all of these we opt to become strong-willed, we thwart arrogance and weaknesses, and we always have a zestful qualities reserved for this time of misfortune.
Life would go on circle but still Filipino traits and culture will find its way to uplift every ones’ heart and faith. Filipinos have extraordinary behavior towards phenomenal catastrophe, we are blessed with immense spirit that lubricates our will to survive and to become strong-willed individual. No matter what happens we manage to show sympathy and smile for what is worth. The power of smile would always be painted in the faces of Filipino people and our strong faith in God blessed us with the will to move on and recover easily. We are generous in giving love and care to one another.

"Very likely the Philippines will defend with inexpressible valor the liberty secured at the price of so much blood and sacrifice. With the new men that will spring from their soil and with the recollection of their past, they will perhaps strife to enter freely upon the wide road of progress, and all will labor together to strengthen their fatherland, both internally and externally, with the same enthusiasm, with which a youth falls again to tilling the land of his ancestors who long wasted and abandoned through the neglect of those who have withheld it from him. Then the mines will be made to give up their gold for relieving distress, iron for weapons, copper, lead, and coal. Perhaps the country will revive the maritime and mercantile life for which the islanders are fitted by their nature, ability and instincts, and once more free, like the bird that leaves its cage, like the flower that unfolds to the air, will recover the pristine virtues that are gradually dying out and will again become addicted to peace -- cheerful, happy, joyous, hospitable and daring."…

Natural and manmade disasters are a gloomy recurrent feature of today’s reality. The 1986 nuclear catastrophe in Chernobyl, the 2004 hurricane in Brazil and, the same year, the devastating Tsunami in East Asia; the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan, the BP oil spillage in the Mexican Gulf in 2010; the 2010 earthquake in Haiti; and the latest tragic Tsunami that hit Japan in March of this year along with the subsequent threat of a nuclear calamity, are but a few examples of humankind’s vulnerability to the, often unpredictable, strikes of nature and to the, far more predictable, technological calamities.…

People nowadays are not prepared for the calamity disasters especially for those who are in a rural place .Our government should make a way on how they will reached out for the people who are in need of information of the incoming disaster,so that they will be awared on their community .Our government must have an activites like having earthquake drills that would inform the people on how to be prepared during a calamitiy disaster.People should what to do. Another thing is people must have a discipline and coordination so that they will not be affected on the calamity disaster. If all the people are well discipline that’s apply it on what they had learned in that activity,so that in case of emergency they know the time that they are be able to be prepared and be ready for the natural disasters. Many people died in typhoon because the place that they used to stay is not safe.Even though there is already a typhoon many people would’nt want to leave their homes because they are afraid that someone might stole their stuffs that are valuable to them and that show’s how stubborn they are .One of the best way on how there are going to be prepared in the disaster is to watch the news or read newspaper or listened to the radio so that they are updated on what’s happening in their place. If only people would follow these advice there is a higher risk that people are not going to die and people would’nt be injured. But unfortunately their homes will be the one that are going to be affected.I noticed that most of the people home’s here in our country are not that strong to support them and that’s also one of the reason why many of the filipino’s during calamity is in dangered, they must evacuate as early as possible before…
