Premature birth, also coined as preterm birth, refers to birth of a baby before its organs are mature enough to survive postnatal life. Death and disability occur more often among these very preterm infants compared to moderately preterm infants. Olives have been an important agricultural product in Spain for a long time. In "The Olive Industry of Spain," published in the April 1936 edition of the journal Economic Geography, the author, William E. Bull, outlines the history of olive oil production in Spain up to that point. The Romans encouraged the planting of olive orchards after their occupation of the Iberian Peninsula in 206 B.C. Although the olive industry decreased in production during the reign of the Visigoths, it became important again under Arab rule in the 8th century with new irrigation technology increasing the size of orchards. The promotion of the olive industry in the 19th century was advanced in 1884 when schools of olive cultivation were created. In 1898 Spain lost two of its colonies, Cuba and the Phillipines, resulting in a currency devalutation. At this time the government began to focus more attention on domestic issues and the Spanish olive oil industry began to gain importance on the world market. The following map shows that regions along the Mediterranean produced 99% of the world's olive in 1936, with particularly large areas of Spain devoted to olive production: Increased government intervention in the first decade of the 20th century in the form of 25 new laws regulating all aspects of olive oil production along with the appearance of finer grades of oil resulted in a huge increase in exports. By 1914, Spain had become one of the world’s greatest exporters of olive oil in the world. In 1924 the first "Oil Conference" was held in Madrid, resulting in the formation of the Federation of Olive Oil Exporters in Spain, which aimed to unify the nation's olive exports and increase business with foreign markets. In 1925 the National Association of Olive Growers was created in order "to protect the olive industry in all its technical, economic, and commercial aspects," [10]. The following map depicts olive production specifically…

Cholelithiasis or Gallstone disease is the presence of one or more calculi or stones in the gallbladder, which is the hollow organ under the liver that, stores bile. (Lee, 2008). It results from changes in bile components. Gallstones are made of cholesterol, calcium bilirubinate, or a mixture of cholesterol and bilirubin pigment. They arise during periods of sluggishness in the gallbladder due to pregnancy, hormonal contraceptives, diabetes mellitus, celiac disease, cirrhosis of the liver, and pancreatitis (Springhouse, 2005). Fewer than half of the people with gallstones report any distress because the gallstones cause no manifestations unless complications develop. The most specific characteristic manifestation of gallstone disease is pain or biliary cholic which is caused b the spasm of the biliary ducts as they try to dislodge the stones (Black & Hawks 2008). They begin with acute abdominal pain in the right upper quadrant that may radiate to the back, between the shoulders, or to the front of the chest; the pain may be so severe that the patient seeks emergency department care. Other features may include recurring fat intolerance, biliary colic, belching, flatulence, indigestion, diaphoresis, nausea, vomiting, chills, low-grade fever, jaundice (if a stone obstructs the common bile duct), and…

In the beginning of time, when the people of the earth had just inherited the Earth, Bathala had two children. His daughter Amihan and his son Habagat.Amihan and Habagat used to play together all the time. They would run and run just above the earth so swiftly that they had caused people trouble in their day to day lives. They did this for a whole year. One day, Amihan complained to her father. “Father, Habagat is so playful and it’s beginning to annoy me. Can you tell him to stop playing with me?” Bathala then answered, “You’re right Amihan. I have noticed that the people haven’t done anything because of your playing activities. The rice paddies were destroyed, the houses blown by the wind, and many more incidents happened the previous year.” Bathala then decided that Amihanwould play just above the surface during the months of September to June while Habagat can play with his friends above the surface during the months of July to October, and when one is playing above the surface, the other one stays on the Earth. The two children agreed with these conditions. When Amihan is playing, the people receive cool air because she just plays with her dolls and do not cause so much damage, but when Habagat is playing with his friends, the Bagyos, the people experience a rainy season. And because Habagat is a very playful boy, he cannot contain his urge to run around, spreading havoc when they play. And that is where the two seasons of the Philippines came…
