I am very grateful to Mr.Sanjay Drabu, Director – Om Foundation and Mr. Krishnendu Sengupta, Program Co-ordinator for providing me an opportunity to visit their NGO and take part in their activities. I thank him for all the guidance I got through-out my project and for the valuable insights that I obtained from the project. I express my sincere thanks to the school staff specially Mrs. Anju Garg, Headmistress and the beneficiaries who took out their time and showed a lot of patience and frankness in interacting with me. Summary
OM Foundation is a charity trust which focuses on providing free quality education and healthcare services to the under privileged children. Two most important aspects of the organization are as follows: • • Currently the organization focuses on providing education and basic health care facilities. In the near future the organisation is planning to provide skill development programmes to youth and get them placed in various jobs.
Internal considerations Current financial resources of the organisation are pretty decent with the funding coming from corporate connections. Major funders include British Gas, EXL and Smile Foundation. The organisation has a dedicated full time staff on pay rolls for the trust and the school. The school staff is qualified and skilled in the work they do.
