Acknowledgement
I take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude and deep regards to Dean from the faculty of biotechnology of Assumption University for his exemplary guidance, monitoring and constant encouragement throughout the course of field trip. I also take this opportunity to express gratitude to A. Pornpen and A. Supapit for their cordial support, valuable information and guidance, which helped me in completing this task through various stages.   I am obliged to the guide of “Senses tour” for the valuable information provided by them in their respective fields. Lastly, I thank almighty, my parents, brother, sisters and friends for their constant encouragement without which this assignment would not be possible. Introduction

This field trip focused mainly on visited various islands in krabi, various bay in phi phi Island, and Nang Yuan Island. Krabi was named by two legends. The first legend named it after an ancient sword. The second legend had it that "Krabi" was derived from a name of local tree "Lumphi".The Malay and Chinese merchants made its pronunciation slightly corrupted and became "Ka-lu-bi" or "Kho-lo-bi", which finally turned to "Krabi" (sword). Krabi has some excellent snorkeling spots like Koh Hong and Phi Phi Lei to name the top spots. Phi Phi Don and Railey have some fish in the water, but no spectacular reefs within swimming distances. There were many islands that we have visited, such as lading Island, Hong Island, Pakbia Island, Rai Island, chicken Island, Poda island, Phi phi island and kayaking at Ao thalane. We also visited koh Nang Yuan and Koa Toa. To describe briefly about each island I would start off with my favorite one that is, koh phi phi which is very popular and a lot of people have heard about it. Relaxing on the wonderful white beach in kao phi phi is the most amazing part. Phi Phi, the name is derived from Malay and the original was Pulao Pi ah Pi, where in Pulao is the Malay word for island, and pi, pronounced with only a half p sound, was very close in pronunciation to English word be; the ah was eventually and the name became the Pi Pi we know today. The name refers to the mangrove wood found there. Six islands are in the group; Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Ley, Biddah Nok, Biddah Nai yung, and dropped, so he name was said something like Bi Bi. Later the P was pronounced with a stronger aspiration Pai (Bamboo Island); total area is about 35 square kilometers. They were incorporated into the national park in 1983. Ao thalane is a place to kayaking from thalane pier with rich natures and bright blue sky. Hong Island is a perfect escape and a must to visit. It was renowned for its breath –taking beauty, shallow coral reefs and white sandy beaches. It was renowned for its breath- taking beauty, shallow coral reefs and white sandy beaches. There was a picnic lunch, fruits, water, and cake. There was also loads of time for swimming and snorkeling. There was a short stop at Pakbia and Lading Island and also Rai Island. Poda island is a lovely white, sandy beach which is very ideal for sunbathing, swimming and snorkerling. It is also very ideal for underwater adventures, exploring colorful corals and reef fish. Mu Koh Poda or Poda Group Islands is under the administration of Haad Noppharat Thara-Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park. The Group Islands consist of Koh Poda, Koh Kai, Koh Mo and Koh Thap. Ko Nang Yuan is a small island very close to Ko Tao. It is famous for its diving spots and its great snorkeling beach. Also, it is good for relaxing and re-energizing with good food to relax at the beach.

Purpose
The purpose of this trip is to meet new friends, see the beautiful nature and have chance to actually see the living species that we have heard of or studied about in the classes and some of them we have never heard about or even learn, the nature is really huge. I would say it is like on field study and at the same time enjoying good foods and top restaurants along the beach side and also stayed at many hotels. Last but not the least, seeing the environment gives me a chance to see and have new idea to expand my vision with the knowledge obtain from biotechnology which is a really great chance for me to step forward in the line that I am studying and also it is a must field trip that all biotech students must take in there 4 years of study in order to graduate.

Conclusion
Overall, I enjoyed my time at the beach. I saw things that I never noticed before, was able to identify most of what I was observing, and have a better awareness and appreciation of the forces of nature and the beauty of the sand which is something I usually just take for granted.
