Fetus Narrative Analysis
It is our pleasure to see and provide consultation on Ms. Kayla Brown today. She is a 30yo, G6 P0413, who comes for cerclage evaluation.

Views today demonstrate a viable singleton fetus measuring consistent with 9 weeks 2 days. Fetal crown-rump length measures 23 mm which confirms stated EDD of 06/06/17. Fetal cardiac activity is visualized at 171 bpm. Due to early gestational age, fetal anatomy was not assessed; however, presence of 4 extremities and symmetric choroids was noted. Amniotic fluid and placental location are visualized as normal within limitations of early gestational age. Bilateral adnexa are suboptimally visualized. Cervical length is visualized as normal. Ultrasound was performed with endovaginal views

According to the documentary “Babies,” there were many scenes in the film that most clearly demonstrated the interconnectedness, the similarity in all human behavior. For instance, when the babies from the urban and rural areas, even though they grew up in different environments and are from different backgrounds, they showed the same capabilities in all human behavior. An example is when all babies look around their surroundings and makes different sounds hiccuping, snoring, crying, laughing and smiling in their sleep, playing or when their mother is talking to them. We see the mutual attachment that the infants have with their mothers. In Namibia, the baby Ponijao was snoring, making sounds in his sleep and then we see how…

I don't agree with most of what the author says. When the author brings up abortion, they state "Liberals are so convinced that abortion is the best choice for women experiencing unexpected pregnancy..." Liberals are pro-choice, not pro-abortion. They want to respect the mother's decision, whether it is abortion or keeping the baby. Secondly, in the school choice paragraph, liberals want to fund the schools, for example, those in low-class neighborhoods, to prevent them from closing down and/or funding more classes. Still, the author did fail to provide credible sources to support their arguments, making their essay hard to stick by.…

Abortion has always been a heavily debated topic in the media the two articles “The anguish of a female choice” by Jill Singer and “Reaping what we have sown- Abortion Decriminalised” by Pastor Danny Nalliah, President of Catch the Fire Ministries (The Australian Newspaper, 24th October 2008) are both very different as Singer is for abortion and Nalliah is pessimistically against it. Each writer clearly has strong views about for and against abortion. The articles both obviously are aimed at women but Nalliah widens her audience by attacking Christians who voted for Labor. Singer uses a mature tone one that is sympathetic but understanding of others’ views whereas Nalliah uses an accusing and aggressive tone to persuade the audience.…

The film A Midwife’s Tale follows the story of Mary Ballard, a mother and midwife in the wilds of post American Revolution Maine. Her diary touches on many subjects such as, premarital sex, trials and tribulations of a working woman in this period, and family. As a rule the film remains faithful to the time period in visual story. It is very difficult to pin down the historical inaccuracies within the film as the story is a dramatization of an actual diary from the woman whom actually experienced the time period.…

The question on whether babies are born good or are made good is an incredibly deep question that was thought to have been too difficult to test, due to their inability to communicate efficiently and limited ability to express thoughts and feelings. This packet gives shocking information about how this question has been addressed using processes of observation and experimentation, exploring the idea on whether or not babies are able to make “ethical judgments,” and then whether the baby is born with these abilities. Throughout the packet, different experiments such as Crackerz and Big Mother Study helped show that these experiments were incredibly effective in exposing that fact that babies have a very good chance in being born with and altruistic attitude. The packet then continues to talk about the plethora of criticism that this hypothesis has undergone, including New Zealand’s attempt to recreate the experiment and saying that it failed. The packet as a whole was a very interesting read and proposes some very serious questions.…

Heavy metals such as lead, zinc, copper, can often be found in industrial wastewater and their discharge to the environment poses a serious threat due to their acute toxicity to aquatic and terrestrial life which includes humans. As a result of increasing industrialization more heavy metals are continually released to the environment and this has prompted environmental engineers and scientists to think of better methods by which heavy metal-bearing wastewaters can be treated effectively and economically. The most used way of removing heavy metals in wastewater is through the use of activated carbon which is used as an adsorbent. This is due to the adsorptive properties of activated carbon(Cecen & Aktas, 2011).…
