Female Athletes Should Be Able To Play On The Same Sport Team
Most people think that girls and boys should be on different sports teams and they should not combine. For over 170 years women have been battling for equal rights. Although lots have changed, women are still fighting for equality in athletics. Female athletes should be able to play on a team even thoses with males on it.
To begin Female athletes should play on the same sports teams as males because girls can be better at a sport than a male. Maybe the girl is born to tackle, and run around the football field, but if people don't want to combine male and female athletes on a team she could never show people what she can do. That's hurtful for us hearing people say that we can fight as well as boys like in wrestling. It states on nytimes.com that if we believe we can do it there is nothing a man can do that a woman can't do if we tried. Still, the critics insists that girls should stick to their own teams. SOme say allowing girls to participate in boys` sports could hurt girls` teams by drawing away some of the top players. It is not fair to boys, who must risk the embarrassment of losing to a girl? In fact, that's exactly why many experts say there should be more opportunities for boys and girls to compete together and against each other. In school and at work later in life, boys and girls must learn to work together, to respect each other's different skills and strengths. “For girls like sara and Cassy and the boys competing with them playing sports is great practice for the “ big leagues” of life. How do you really know what everyone is good at and strong at until you let them try out. You can't just judge them because they're girls. Put yourself in our shoes if you were us, how would you feel if you have an amazing kick and can run super fast and you cant even show people what you can do?
