Peter Griffin Biography
Peter Löwenbräu Griffin is the protagonist of the show Family Guy and its title character. He's a man of Irish descent currently residing in Quahog, Rhode Island. He was, however, born in Mexico, where his mother had tried unsuccessfully to abort him.Peter was raised by Francis and Thelma Griffin in the Roman Catholic faith. However, he discovers that his biological father is a man named Mickey McFinnigan. Peter has a wife named Lois Griffin whom he has been married to for twenty years and together, Peter and Lois have three children, Chris, Meg, and baby Stewie. Out of pity he also adopted an intellectual talking dog named Brian who formerly lived on the street as a stray. Peter's best friends are Glenn Quagmire, Joe Swanson, and Cleveland Brown prior to his moving to Stoolbend, VA. They enjoy hanging out at their local bar, The Drunken Clam and drinking. These four often get into trouble with their drunkenness.
Education wise Peter has been known to have attended Providence high School in Rhode Island, but to have never graduated. He also has no college experience. This all may explain why his low intellect places him in a category below mentally retarded. His mental shortcomings have resulted in various accidents to other people; most notably the death of his step-father Francis Griffin, and injuries on multiple occasions to his wife Lois Griffin. Peter is shown generally to be a complete idiot, such as being dumb enough to think that there can be a World War 5 before World Wars 3 and 4 because it would be so intense that it would "Skip right over the other two." Peter also has a very short attention span which frequently leads him to bizarre situations.
Peter primarily worked as a safety inspector at the Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory, until his boss Jonathan Weed choked to death on a dinner roll. He then became a fisherman on his

In this chapter we get introduced to Peter Jenkins and get know what he is doing. It takes place sometime during Peter’s journey. Tommy, Doc, and several other men in a country store in a giant blizzard first confront Peter. Tommy and the doc ask him what the devil he is doing hiking across America and Peter tells them that he is doing it to get to know the country. Tommy offers Peter to come to his house for some food, but Peter rejects. Peter calls for his dog Cooper. A thin farmer gives Peter five dollars in case he needed it. Peter and Cooper then leave the store and go into the giant blizzard. Peter then tells us how Cooper saved him one time before the walk. Peter and Cooper were hiking along an eleven-mile alternate training route when Cooper killed a snake that would probably have bitten Peter. We then get introduced to some of Peter’s background. This so-called “Walk Across America” was something that was brewing in Peter’s mind for a long time. Peter tells us that he grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. This is a town of about 60,000 with manicured homes and country clubs. It’s high level of income and social status made Peter think that he had to attend Yale or Harvard. In Greenwich, you were considered a greaser if you drove a Corvette or had a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Most people drove Country Squire Wagons or BMW’s. Peter’s problem, according to him, was that he thought that all towns in America were like Greenwich. Peter tells us that he suffers from hollowness deep inside him that does not go away. It comes back after beer, booze, or drugs wear off from a party. It didn’t go away after he skied in a chalet in Stowe, Vermont. A revival of Woodstock, which took place during the summer of his senior year in high school didn’t bring any relief either. College and being by himself made the hollowness intensify. Peter himself began to wonder what he…

In fact, Peter attaches most of his identity to his relationship with God. In doing so, he is able to completely deny who he is to everyone he knows, and hide parts of himself away from even his lover, Steve. Even something as simple as his outfit choice controls his closeted behavior. On page 203, Foulds says that Peter “[puts] on black jeans and a black top. Even when he wasn’t working, that’s what he would put on,” this suggests that Peter’s need to fit in and be normal and keep the façade of a straight male puts so much pressure on him that he cannot even get out of his uniform when he is home. This idea of keeping a uniform transfers over when he is in sermon. Even something as simple as his voice creates a lull for Peter to fall into in order to hide his true self:…

Peter’s perseverance throughout the book led him to defeat Sir Phillip Morton and his conspirators. Peter was put in very difficult circumstances, such as when he snuck into the “Yellow Gentleman’s” house and got his stolen play back. Perhaps the author wanted to portray a different type of hero, but when Peter was climbing up the side of the house and-although it was a tough situation-kept going, it showed Peter’s heroic qualities. Peter’s state of mind at the time is unimaginable, he said this as he was climbing “Each time I put my weight on a fresh dagger, my heart went into my mouth and I heaved myself for the splash below.” (p. 132) Taking on such a job to begin with, is an enormous responsibility, but to do it alone, takes bravery and devotion. Peter displayed his endurance when he was held captive on an island for questioning and said “I knew I had to fight on. This was no sunny bathing trip.” (p. 201) Despite suffering, Peter was devoted to his mission and had the temerity to carry on. Although Peter’s life was at risk many times in the book Cue for Treason, he was able to endure the struggle.…

One of the key communication failures emphasized in the relationship between Ender and Peter Wiggin was how the lack of communication led to distorted perceptions about one another. The brother's relationship exceeded normal family tension, and one could say their relationship was hostile and even endangering. Peter often bullied Ender while playing a child's game of Buggers and Astronauts even going so far as to threaten his life (Card 11-12). They both see each other as being the problem. Peter may have thought that by controlling Ender he was…

Whenever I saw his face, I couldn’t help but think of Peter’s face at the same time. Both faces have appeared too much in my dreams for it to not be easy to see the way they both narrow their eyes, knit their eyebrows together, and stick their chin up in a superior way whenever they told themselves that they despised me. When I wasn’t in Battle School there was always something Peter did, every…

Peter the Great, or Peter I, was a man who introduced sweeping changes in Russia during his reign, some that were great for his country, and others that lead to misfortune. Even though he changed many things, historians have argued over whether he was a reformer or revolutionary for many ages past his death. It is more accurate to call him a reformer than a revolutionary, as Peter did introduce changes, but most of them were copied or based off other systems of government, but the public in Russia at the time considered him a revolutionary because they believed he was changing everything to how he saw fit, and because of their ignorance towards the west’s continued advancements. Peter the Great was a reformer through and through.…
