Factors affecting the study habits and attitudes of 1st yr BSA student of PUP-SRC

Objectives * this study is to provide awareness and better understanding of how their current study habits affected their academic performance to 1st year college students * gives them a more focused and clear perspective on how the specific behaviors related to their studies influenced study habits * this study also gives a much deeper understanding of their selves as students considering that the college life is typically beset of developmental adjustment demands * this study should still consider some factors that may be considered for studying effectively in improving his or her study habits. * The purpose of this study is to describe an information-processing perspective on the contribution of study skills , and to identify evidence-based strategies that are effective in helping students to improve their study skills

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Learning is acquiring new, or modifying existing, knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences and may involve synthesizing different types of information and a continuous process. There are many ways to attain learning. One way to attain learning is by studying at school. School is an institution to help people to learn. One should study not only in school but also outside of the school. One’s should know how to manage their time and the things they will do. Good study habit should takes place but we know that there are many things that affect our study habit that is why many students are failing their grades. Is Home environment, advance technology, class schedule, or the people around you affects your study habits?
Many students, today, are dropping and failing their subjects. This study aims to know what factors affect students study habits.
The researcher wants to understand why students are neglecting school activity.
