The researchers would like to share their work as a
contribution to the continuing learning process in understanding the different reasons of the Saint Columban College students in taking Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education as their course.
The formation, completion and presentation of this work would not have been possible without the grace and guidance of the Almighty God, our families, friends, and the students of Saint Columban College.
Mr. Angelino B. Urbano, Jr., Business Statistics teacher for his unending encouragement for these researchers to be inspired in giving their best in the making of this project, for the fatherly pieces of advice, the knowledge and wisdom, his empathetic and considerate self in giving us enough time in completing this project, and the moral support during the hardships during every class throughout the semester.
Also, this work would not have been accomplished without the assistance of our dear friends and the students of the Saint Columban College, who had also contributed to the fulfillment of this task just by being their selves, and for the research team for the cooperation and efforts in despite of the busy schedule in their other subjects.

This study aimed to ascertain the student’s motivation in choosing their courses in the College of Teacher Education, Arts and Sciences in Saint Columban College, particularly the 3rd year students in Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.
The instrument that the researchers used in gathering information is the use of a series of survey questionnaires. This type of questionnaires requires the respondents to select from the given choices in the survey questionnaires. The students answer the questions in a way that they check particularly in the choices that corresponds their answer.
The researchers used Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) where the data were inserted in an excel-like form and analyze further.
It sought to answer the following specific problems:
1. The students’ reasons in choosing their course.
2. Their decision making in terms of self, school, family, and environment/community.
The findings showed that:
