ABSTRACT
This study aimed to ascertain the student’s motivation in choosing their courses in the College of Teacher Education, Arts and Sciences in Saint Columban College, particularly the 3rd year students in Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.

The instrument that the researchers used in gathering information is the use of a series of survey questionnaires. This type of questionnaires requires the respondents to select from the given choices in the survey questionnaires. The students answer the questions in a way that they check particularly in the choices that corresponds their answer.

The researchers used Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) where the data were inserted in an excel-like form and analyze further.

It sought to answer the following specific problems:
1. The students’ reasons in choosing their course.
2. Their decision making in terms of self, school, family, and environment/community.

The findings showed that:
1. The students enrolled BSED as their course considering the factors of (a) self, (b) school, (c) family, and (d) environment/community. 2. The
