Explain Why Must Or Should The Holy Spirit Intercede For The Saint
The scriptures clearly state that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us (the saints) according to His will and makes a groaning response to God which cannot be uttered in human words on the behalf of saints. Why must or should the Holy Spirit intercede for the saint? Why can’t the saint’s own spirit do as the Holy Spirit? First of all, it is God’s will that the Holy Spirit intercede for saints because the saint’s infirmities in praying are inadequate for God’s consent. For example, (1) The saint doesn’t know how to pray. (2) He doesn’t know what to ask for by leaving some things out and (3) asking for the wrong things for the wrong reasons. (4) The saint’s spirit cannot approach God like the Holy Spirit can. These infirmities which are the

After a brief encounter with Joe, the reader gets to see how Paul Farmer is a very compassionate man, one that allows himself to become attached and to make emotional connections with his patients. Soon after Farmer and Kidder become aware that Joe has described him to other residents at the hospital as "A fuckin Saint” the language in this passage becomes far more complex. The usage of these words conveys a larger picture of how Farmer is perceived by the people around him. Saint, defined by Mariam Webster ass "a person acknowledged as holy or virtuous and typically regarded as being in heaven after death." lets the readers get a bigger picture of his persona. Using a religious connection allows for a wider audience to realize how great of…

Even though the Italians said the Gothic architecture is “barbaric” and should discontinue the style, surprisingly the style is still being constructed to this day. I chose the St. John the Divine because it has so much similarity to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, Paris. Even though the St. John the Divine is unfinished, it is a very big tourist attraction, just like the Cathedral of Notre Dame. They both have the whole gothic style look, such as the wheel windows, that you notice, almost always, first and stained glass windows. The only difference that is noticeably is how the Cathedral of Notre Dame has a different front look then St. John the Divine.…

In his quest to live forever, he studied and found that the specialized cells from the immune system could identify organisms that invade the body; such as bacteria, and viruses. The antibodies are able to set off a complex chain of events designed to kill these foreign invaders. He found a way to create antibodies so strong they would allow their host to maintain the ultimate perfection for an indefinite amount of time. He had experimented trying to kill the new antibodies to test his theory, and found they were undying, --- they could not be destroyed. He kept injecting the serum into his own body. He suffered a debilitating disease with no known cure, and he didn’t want to die. After several failed attempts the Saint decided to inject a young healthy…

For Christians and the church the Holy Spirit lives inside the Christian and guides the actions of those who desire His presence. The Spirit empowers the believer to step outside his comfort zone to do extraordinary acts of faith for God. Being filled with the Spirit involves transforming their minds to the mind of Christ as we engage in spiritual activities. Walking in the Spirit leads to a sense of peace and joy. Violating their conscience through acts of disobedience leads to a loss of filling by the Holy Spirit, which takes away their joy and peace. Although God will not take the Holy Spirit away from a disciple of Jesus Christ, the continual practice of sin and a lack of spiritual activities will lead to a life that is no different than the life of a…

St. Bonaventure exercised an extraordinary amount of form in his logic to describe the seven steps to know God; however, his logic and reasoning were bias as he did not question the existence of God. He sees life as a reflection of God, so in order to understand God as a being, we must understand life as a representation of God. Just as God is made of three parts ( the father, the son, and the spirit) so are people. People are composed of the mind, the body, and the spirit. The seven steps are aimed to perfect each part of a person in the eyes of God which in turn will lead the mind to God.…

Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit as recorded in the book of Acts prescriptive? Meaning…is there always a second experience for someone who is baptized in the Holy Spirit apart from them receiving God’s gift of Salvation? Up to this point, I have believed that when we put our faith in Jesus, we get all of God—he holds nothing back. Yet the question becomes whether or not we tap into the Holy Spirit’s power. I liken it to a membership at the gym versus hiring a personal trainer at a gym. A personal trainer coaches you, trains you, helps (empowers) you achieve your goals (as a Christian the goal is to become more like Christ and advance his kingdom). So when you say “yes” to Jesus you get your membership and you are good for life—eternal life. Yet so many people never claim access to their personal trainer—the Holy…
