What are the key factors to understand about prevention?
There is a lot that one needs to understand about prevention; especially if one is working in the healthcare field. It is important that all staff member of the healthcare; are trained on how to prevent illness from passing from a patients room.
Prevention is key in the healthcare field. Many or most are fitted for a face mask or a body suit. These face mask and body suits are to prevent a health care staff member from getting whatever illness a patient may have. A face mask also helps prevent germs from spreading from person to person. A healthcare provider or staff member may wear a face mask if he or she has a common cold. Though a common cold may not sound dangerous, it could be dangerous to an infant, or an elderly patient who is already extremely ill. In the healthcare industry it is important that each health care staff member is trained on ways to prevent such occurrences; from spreading to person to person.
There are many ways to go about prevention. There are many different ways to train on prevention. It is extremely important that each staff member prepare for when they need to use their prevention training.

Treatment is when a disease or a medical crisis occurs, and one has to have medicine, vaccines, etc to get well. Such as treatment for strep throat; in order for a person to get over strep throats one has to get a steroid shot, or they have to take an antibiotic. An antibiotic is part of treatment. There are some diseases and illnesses that are not treated because they have not found a cure. Such as the flu, the flu cannot be treated. If you were to go to the hospital the most a medical provider could do is an IV. There is no cure for the flu, so treatment is not an option. Your body has to fight off the illness on its own.
