There are seven organizational approaches to studying the human body. The seven organizational approaches are body cavities, body planes and directions, quadrants and regions, anatomy and physiology, body systems, microscopic and macroscopic, and medical specialty. This approach is used when studying functions such as reproduction, respiration, and blood circulation. The microscopic and macroscopic approach focuses on the smaller parts of the body making up larger parts of the body.
