Light and noise. Children needs sufficient light to work in comfort and be focused without discomfort.
On the other hand too much light may cause headaches and discomfort. Children also need a quiet environment or low level noise in order to concentrate. This helps prolong the attention span they have. If they are in an environment that is too dark or too noisy it may cause distractions.

Regardless of age, sex and whether they are SEN or not all needs should be met when it comes to the classroom and outdoor activities.
Outdoor activities need to be taken into consideration a bit more. There should always be clear boundaries for children so they know where they can and where they cannot go. When children want to go outside you should first check on the weather and if they may need a coat or in fact take of their jumpers if it is warm. Also as responsible adults you should always check the environment to ensure it is safe before the children go out there.
