Alcohol/Drugs: There are many effects of alcohol and drugs which in most times makes communication ineffective. Alcohol and drugs can cause mood swing, disorientations and even issues such as sickness, passing out and even falling and stumbling over. If under the influence of alcohol/drug up to the level were the person is caught up in any of the effects; one will not be able to communicate with the person well enough to reach a meaningful outcome. For example, if a member of staff walks into a service user room and discovered that he/she is drunk to the extent that he/she is passing out, it will be very difficult to communicate with that service user. As a result of these differences to the different values and beliefs, it sometimes causes disagreements, arguments frustrations and even hate towards one another.
