Executive Summary: Egineering Case Study

At approximately 0245 on the morning of 20th of March, Shift Supervisor Riddle heard S/O Donaldson call out over the radio requesting assistance with a burst pipe in the boiler room of the Egineering building. Riddle requested the desk officer to call the operator and inform egineering. Upon arrival Riddle found the flooding rapidly expanding out into the hallway from the boiler room and leading to the Incinerator room and Laundry. Egineers arrived at aproximately 0315. While waiting for the egineers to find the shut off valve, Riddle and S/O Miller began searching the flooded area for anything electrical that could come into contact with the water. Miller found some exposed wires in the generator room that were very close to the water level.
