Matt’s Lemonade Stand

This report provides an analysis of Matt’s Lemonade Stand.
Matt’s Lemonade Stand will run from June 1st to July 30th and will be stationed near North Avenue Beach. My stand will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Research has shown that the highest traffic happens during previously mentioned times.
Matt’s Lemonade Stand will be available on those hot days providing quickly served cold lemonade as an alternative way to satisfy your thirst.
Matt’s Lemonade Stand will be a sole proprietorship.
Matt’s Lemonade Stand will serve anyone enjoying the summer weather at the beach. North Avenue Beach is a busy place during the summer which brings together a variety of people. I will serve to any age group, any race and any gender until my supplies run out.
The nearby competitions who sell similar kinds of refreshments include the Castaways Bar & Grill as well as some retail stores outside of the beach area. The restaurant’s wait time on a hot day can be very lengthy which my business won’t experience as I can have the customer in and out in as little as 15 seconds. Retail stores shouldn’t be much of a competition either as it could take anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes for an individual to get there and back.
Each transaction will cost roughly 5cents/cup and 8cents/cup of lemonade. It will be necessary to rent a stationary cart that I can store my product in which costs $20/week or $80/month. Other expenses include city charges for being able to operate on the North Avenue Beach which total $120/month. The estimated monthly expenses are just about $356. The estimated monthly sales which are based on 300units/week or 1200units/month at $1.25 total $1500. Each month I should see a profit of about $1144.
My research and personal experience has shown that North Avenue Beach is a high-traffic location during the dates that Matt’s Lemonade Stand will be operating. I’m looking forward to a profitable and

In this assignment I will be discussing the consideration of Domino’s Pizza entering the market place in the Washington DC’s Georgetown community. I selected this area because it is highly populated with tourists that may want to grab a quick bite to eat while shopping and touring the area and the local upper class working singles that often don’t have time to cook after a long day at work. I have conducted research and gathered information forecasting the demand for this business based on population, household income and other pizza establishments in this area along with the average cost for pizza. Based on the research and demand analysis we should be able to determine if it would be in the best interest of the Domino’s Pizza Company to establish an operation in this community.…

In April 30, 1999, the National Railroad Passenger Corporation(Amtrak) will review a leveraged-lease proposal from BNY Capital Funding LLC(BNYCF) along with other financing options. The government will eliminate federal funding for any of Amtrak's operating expenses by 2002 . Therefore, Amtrak has developed a new high speed train line called Acela, which will bring in net annual revenues of $180 million by 2002. Amtrak needs to raise $267.9 million to purchase six locomotives and seven train sets. Assuming that Amtrak will have a tax rate of 0%, it has three options to gain use of the equipment: 1) borrow money to finance the purchase, 2) lease the equipment using a leveraged-lease proposal from BNYCF, or 3) use federal funding. A discounted cash flow(DCF) analysis will be used to find the most appropriate method.…

The first few steps after the boardwalk may feel rather rocky due to scattered sediments and tiny pebbles sticking on to the soles of your feet, but by halfway to the ocean, it starts getting smooth and cooler with every step you take. If laying around and catching some ray is not your type of fun, there are beach volleyball courts set up, kites to be flown here and safe swimming with lifeguards on the look out. Gazing at the sandy shore, you can see the roaring waves rushing in, toppling forts and castles made out of silken sands that shimmers under the blazing sun like tiny luminous stars in the night sky. Take advantage of this peaceful, quiet moment by standing on the shoreline and wait for the rolling ocean water slide by the ankles of your leg. As the waves try to pull back in, you will feel a sinking sensation on the heels of your foot due to the pressure of your weight and the surrounding sand. Lastly, there is an area for youths with a big, plastic palm tree set up in the middle and tiny sprinklers around it, spraying cold, chilling drops that can be felt even to the people strolling on the boardwalk. The beach is always crowded with families and couples to enjoy on their days off and especially on Friday nights, gorgeous firework shoot off can be seen starting at 9:30p.m. (Only during the summer…
