Everyday an excessive amount of pollution is released into the Earth’s atmosphere. Motor vehicle emissions are the leading cause of air pollution, but that’s not going to stop anybody from driving their car. People don’t care about what might happen in hundreds of years. As long as it doesn’t affect our lifetime, why should we have to worry? The reason is because our descendants will be left to deal with these problems as they

CO2 concentration has doubled and metal domes have been made to cover the world’s major cities and keep the pollutants out. A filtration system takes in any pollution released within the dome and sends it to the outside. Motor vehicle transportation no long exists because of it being the leading cause of air pollution. In the dome of New York City, bicycles are used as the primary method of transportation. Many of today’s careers no longer exist because every citizen has to have a job that contributes to the survival of the community. The existence of oceans is a myth, because if such a thing truly does exist, it lies outside of the dome. Advanced technology is the only thing keeping the world alive. In 1729, the year Swift had publicized this story, a pamphlet was a written work that stepped up against political, religious, social, or any other issue of public interest. He had written it to call for change against the abuse inflicted on Irish Catholics by the English Protestants. Swift had noticed that England was exploiting and oppressing his native country, Ireland. He aimed to stir up a revolution by suggesting that the Irish prevent their young children of being a burden to their parents or country by being eaten or sold for consumption.…

In our studies of literature, we have came across satiric essays. We have read some essays that were written by the artists Swift, and Pope. Through these readings, we were able to gather a better understanding as to how satire is typically used. We understand that satire is saying one thing, but meaning something else. There are two types of satire, there is hovatian, which means playful, or there is juvilian, which means mean. I will be including a mix of both in the essay that I have prepared. I chose to write about an affair that had gone on in my family. I will talk about how much It has affected my family. There are three main points that I will talk about, how much it has broughten us together, how it makes all of us happier, and lastly how it makes us understand God, and why he does the things that he does even better.…

As smaller cities grow larger in human population our amount of vehicles used daily increases as well. Along with the vehicles we operate come many problems we may see on a regular basis. Some problems you do not see until it is too late to reverse. Vehicles produce air pollution through petroleum based gasoline and diesel fuels that these cars use. The fuel burns through a process in which has no other positive feedback besides getting us from point A to point B. During that process air pollution is formed from evaporation and combustion. During the combustion process carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydro carbons, and air toxin are released into the environment. Air toxins are what has been suspected/ known to cause cancer and other serious health and environmental issues. The other gasses that are being emitted into the air are known as green house gasses and have a larger contribution to the global changes in the climate.…

Prior to/ by the end of the late 1990s, a wide range of irresponsible human and industrial activities, as well as increasing social expansion/ urbanization, has gravely/ severely endangered/ wounded/ scarred the blue planet we call home and the already fragile/ weak/ gentle eco-system. To be more specific, the dependency on fossil fuels has produced the climate change, the worldwide greenhouse effect, El Nino, melting ice caps, rising sea levels, ozone depletion, crop failure; deforestation and the loss of wetlands for housing development and industrial factories has fundamentally uprooted the home of most wild species; the overuse of natural resources, especially in a wasteful manner, has at so many levels broken down a balanced environmental system; Industry waste made the valuable land, water system and air unusable. However, fortunately, the environmental groups, government offices, and concerned individuals, after years of efforts, are gradually and successfully promoting a green, eco-friendly lifestyle, the importance of recycling, almost stopping industrial pollution, illegal hunting and Japanese Whaling ships, and developing safer, greener, and more effective energy sources. For this reason, I am confident that it is not an overly optimistic future in 20 or 30 years when the rate of environmental degradation will be slowed down significantly.…
