In the book “To Kill a Mockingbird” there are three categories that describe power. Those three are class, race, and gender. In the class category Mayella has no power. In the story, Mayella is described as “dirt poor” and lives behind a dumpster. Although she does not have many friends, Tom feels bad for her. She has a unique happiness.
