Examples Of My Responsibility To America
My Responsibility to America

The United States of America is known as the land of the free and the home of the brave. Right now there are approximately 324, 118, 787 people living in the United States. Every single one of these people is part of the freedom we gained. We have freedom because of our Founding Fathers and the people of their time. They established the rights that we enjoy today. I believe that with the freedom and rights that we have comes many responsibilities. As Americans we have amazing rights but with those rights come responsibilities such as respect, obedience, and support.
I believe that it is my responsibility to respect the people of this great nation. Every single person in this country has feelings just like the other.

I believe that protecting my rights can become a selfish pursuit, however that should not stop anyone. If you see a barrier between you and your rights, you have the right to fight back. Without people who have fought to protect their rights, our world would look very different. For example, Rosa Parks, a women’s rights activist in the Civil Rights movement, once stated, “You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right.” Rosa Park refused to surrender her seat on a bus for a white man, which in her time was unthinkable. This bus boycott helped launch a nationwide revolution and inspired many after for to do the same. Another example is Malala Yousafzai who made a huge sacrifice to protect her rights. After many rebellions…

America means a lot of things to me, like freedom, safe, brave, equal, and responsibility. The reason I picked these things is because I think they are all very important to this country. The reason why I picked freedom is because in America, you have the right to do and say whatever you want. For example, the phrase freedom of speech, which means that someone’s right to say something is protected within certain limits. What that means is that someone can say whatever they want, but after you say it, there could be consequences, like someone getting hurt if you yelled “fire” in a place that has a lot of people or if you walked into an airport and yelled “bomb.” You have the right to say that, but if you do, there will be consequences like going to jail or something like that. There is also something called freedom of expression, which means people can behave like they want to and wear what they want to.…

In modern times we view America as a thriving nation at the top of the power rankings amongst countries. Such supremacy is found not through the weapons of mass destruction but instead in the people living in a free society. It is such freedom in which causes American citizens to think in a free society which…
