NAME: Nicole and Karen
COUNTRY WHERE THEY CAME FROM: Taiwan
LANGUAGE CENTER: Bacolod International Language Center (BILC), Colegio San Agustin Bacolod Ext.

Nicole (27) and Karen (26), are both Taiwanese and they chose Philippines to study the English language because according to them, it is cheaper here compared to other countries. Nicole has been in here for the last 3 months already and Karen was here for about one week. Their purpose for being in here to study English is for business purposes. They want to land a job in Australia and according to them, it is a big advantage for them if they are well-versed in the English language.

They both love Filipino food, especially when they first tasted our very own chicken inasal at Mang Inasal and they said they want to try a lot of Filipino dishes during their stay. During our interview with them, they said that Filipinos especially Bacolodnons are very polite and easy to get with, that is for the reason that they have to get along with them for they will be staying here for the next 6 months of their lives.

In terms of teaching effectiveness and efficiency, they said that BILC has good teaching techniques, methods and practices in helping them to learn English. They have activities and undertakings that is suitable for beginners and advanced
