PHYSICAL EDUCATION (Social Dance)

I. OBJECTIVES:

A. Discuss the origin and special characteristics of Cha-cha-cha. B. Appreciate the significance of Social Dances. C. Perform the basic steps and variations of the Cha-cha-cha based on a performance.

II. CONTENT:

III. PROCEDURES:

A. Daily Activity 1. Prayer 2. Greeting 3. Checking of Attendance

B. Motivation / Introduction
Ask the following questions Are you familiar to Social Dance Cha-cha-cha? a. What basic dance steps are you familiar with? * Right foot backward * Cha-cha-cha left foot forward b. Have a picture viewing on the Cha-cha-cha, Social Dance.

C. Lesson Proper

1. Have the discussion on the origin and characteristics of Cha-cha-cha. 2. Demonstrate the basic steps of Cha-cha-cha. 3. Execute the basic steps of Cha-cha-cha with music.

The class will execute the basic Cha-cha-cha, * Cha-cha-cha back * Cha-cha-cha front * Cha-cha-cha side * Half turn cha-cha-cha * Full turn cha-cha-cha

IV. EVALUATION

Practical Examination

V. ASSIGNMENT

Practice with the groups, the basic dance step of Cha-cha-cha with music and costumes, and look for different variations of Cha-cha-cha.
