With their take on a “fast-casual” restaurant, co-owners Will Cumberland, Baird Cumberland and Stephen Chan have introduced a unique dining experience fit for its young and urban neighborhood: casual and quick in its service (a great choice for those in a tight lunch break) but at the same time chic and relaxed in its vibe where you can stay longer and have a few beers with friends. The ambiance created from its décor to its menu and the cool atmosphere provided by itskitchen and staff is very welcoming and resonates a holistic vision of Wilbur Mexicana. It is not just a place to get delicious and reasonably priced Mexican street-food but also a place to hangout and share memorable food…

A few months ago, my family watched the movie, “Gifted Hands”. Although I had never heard of the movie or the man, Dr. Ben Carson, I found his story and life inspirational. I felt drawn to know more about him. Following the movie, my daughter, Elizabeth, and I goggled Dr. Carson. Since the movie begins with Ben Carson as a poor child who is bullied and made fun of due to his poverty, poor grades in school, and lack of friends, Elizabeth could relate to his insecurities, fears, and anger. As the movie moved through the life of Ben Carson, we saw how he overcame all the obstacles in his life. Through his mother’s strong belief in God and that he and his brother were capable of being very smart; she insisted that they read in order to develop their brain. Reading books threw open the window to learning for Ben and his brother. In the fifth grade, Ben went from being at the bottom of his class to having the highest score in his class by the end of the school year. In the movie, Gifted Hands, Ben’s mother said almost daily to him, “Bennie, you can do anything you set yourself to do.” Just as Clark (2013) states in Growing up Gifted, the brain continues to grow and develop as long as the environment provides appropriate stimulation. (p. 88) I chose Ben Carson as my gifted person because his life reflects the capacity of the brain when it is used and tapped into. Also, Ben Carson’s life challenges all of us to reach for our full potential, reminding us that God has a plan and a hope and a future for all of us.…

When I walked in I didn’t know what to expect, but my expectations were raised as soon as I took my first step inside the location on Port Road, Hindmarsh I instantly noticed the cleanliness, the aroma of the burgers sizzling on the grill, the friendly- smiling faces and the presentation- It all gave an Americana feel with a hint of hipster. The décor was simple, but yet so effective; a relaxed, stylish and modern interior design. Blonde wooden panelling, white- tiled flooring and ample amount of space! Which would be excellent if catering for a numerous…

Zoës Kitchen began in 1995 as a family-run restaurant in Homewood, Alabama. The company’s owner, president & CEO, John Cassismus had turned his attention from his own business ventures to the family business, with desires to build a world-class company. Mostly frequented by mothers with small children and white-collar employees in the area, the restaurant catered to those consumers with a desire for healthy foods at comparatively lower prices. As of December 2005 there were 16 locations in five different states. The brand was strong and synonymous with freshness, home-style goodness and family recipes. The menu boasted healthy selections, mostly with a Greek influence which consumers could also purchase in larger quantities for take-home consumption.…

CONSIDER THE LOBSTER The enormous, pungent, and extremely well-marketed Maine Lobster Festival is held every late July in the state’s midcoast region, meaning the western side of Penobscot Bay, the nerve stem of Maine’s lobster industry. What’s called the midcoast runs from Owl’s Head and Thomaston in the south to Belfast in the north. (Actually, it might extend all the way up to Bucksport, but we were never able to get farther north than Belfast on Route 1, whose summer traffic is, as you can imagine, unimaginable.)…
